王就對約押和跟隨他的軍官說：“你們走遍以色列各支派，從但到別是巴，數點人民，我好知道人民的數目。”

大卫就吩咐跟随他的元帅约押说：“你去走遍以色列众支派，从但直到别是巴，数点百姓，我好知道他们的数目。”

大卫对跟随他的约押元帅说：“你来回走遍以色列众支派，从但直到别是巴，数点百姓，我好知道百姓的数目。”

大卫对跟随他的约押元帅说：“你来回走遍以色列众支派，从但直到别是巴，数点百姓，我好知道百姓的数目。”

大卫对统领军队的约押说：“你去走遍以色列各支派，从但到别示巴，统计以色列和犹大的人口，让我知道国民的数目。”

王就对约押和跟随他的军官说：“你们走遍以色列各支派，从但到别是巴，数点人民，我好知道人民的数目。”

於是王對約押和跟隨他的將軍說：『你去走遍以色列眾族派，從但直到別是巴，點閱人民，我好知道人民的數目。』

王就對隨同他的將軍約押說：「你去走遍以色列的各支派，從但直到比爾-謝巴，數點軍兵，我好知道軍兵的數目。」

軍長約押在側、王諭之曰、爾徧行以色列諸支派、自但至別是巴、核其民數、俾我知之、

軍長約押侍側王諭之曰、爾遍行以色列族支派、自但至別是巴、核其民數、反而告我。

王命其軍長約押曰、爾遍行以色列各支派、自但至別是巴、核數斯民、使我知其數、

So the king said to Joab and the army commanders with him,“ Go throughout the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beersheba and enroll the fighting men, so that I may know how many there are.”

So the king spoke to Joab and the army commanders with him. He said,“ Go all through the territories of the tribes of Israel. Go from the town of Dan all the way to Beersheba. Count the fighting men. Then I’ll know how many there are.”

So the king said to Joab, the commander of the army, who was with him,“ Go through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and number the people, that I may know the number of the people.”

So the king said to Joab and the commanders of the army,“ Take a census of all the tribes of Israel— from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south— so I may know how many people there are.”

So the king said to Joab, the commander of his army,“ Go through all the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beer-sheba and register the troops so I can know their number.”

So the king said to Joab the commander of the army, who was with him,“ Roam about now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and conduct a census of the people, so that I may know the number of the people.”

So the king said to Joab the commander of the army who was with him,“ Now go throughout all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and count the people, that I may know the number of the people.”

And the king said to Joab the captain of the host, who was with him, Go now to and fro through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer- sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the sum of the people.

So the king said to Joab, the commander of his army,“ Go through all the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beer-sheba and register the troops so I can know their number.”

For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which[ was] with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.

The king told Joab, the general in command of his army,“ Go through all the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beer Sheba and muster the army, so I may know the size of the army.”

The king said to Joab the captain of the army, who was with him,“ Now go back and forth through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and count the people, that I may know the sum of the people.”

於是以色列眾人都出來，從但到別是巴，以及基列地的眾人，都在米斯巴耶和華面前聚集起來如同一人。

約押作以色列所有軍隊的統帥。耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅統轄基利提人和比利提人；

於是大衛對約押和民眾的領袖說：“你們去數點以色列人，從別是巴直到但，然後回來見我，讓我知道他們的數目。”

人的驕傲必使他卑微；心裡謙卑的，必得尊榮。

亞捫人洗勒、比錄人拿哈萊（拿哈萊是給洗魯雅的兒子約押拿兵器的）、

耶和華這樣說：“倚靠世人，恃憑肉體為自己的力量，心裡偏離耶和華的，這人該受咒詛。

洗魯雅的兒子約押作軍隊的統帥，亞希律的兒子約沙法作史官，

因此，我建議把以色列眾人，從但到別是巴，都聚集到你這裡來，好像海邊的沙那樣多，然後你親自率領他們上戰場。

又因為我所得的啟示太大，恐怕會高抬自己，所以就有一根刺加在我的身上，就是撒但的差役來攻擊我，免得我高抬自己。

希西家卻沒有照著他蒙受的恩惠報答耶和華；因為他心高氣傲，所以耶和華的忿怒臨到他，以及猶大和耶路撒冷的人身上。但希西家因為自己心高氣傲而謙卑下來，他和耶路撒冷的居民都謙卑下來，因此耶和華的忿怒，在希西家在世的日子，沒有臨到他們身上。

唯有巴比倫王的使者奉派來見希西家，詢問猶大地發生的奇事的時候，神就離開了他，為要試驗他，好知道他心中的一切。

洗魯雅的兒子約押和大衛的臣僕也出來，在基遍的水池旁邊與他們會面。大家都坐下，一隊在水池這邊，一隊在水池那邊。

你的牛羊加多，你的金銀增添，你所有的一切都增加了，那時，你就心高氣傲，忘記了耶和華你的神，就是把你從埃及地，從為奴之家領出來的那一位。
