On that day Gad went to David and said to him,“ Go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

耶和華之使、命伽得告大闢曰、前往築臺、奉事耶和華、在耶布士人亞勞拿之穀場。大闢依迦得之言、遵耶和華命而行。亞勞拿打麥時、回見天使、即與其四子共匿、見大闢至、乃出穀場、伏地而拜。大闢曰、以此穀場、予我築壇、奉事耶和華、我與爾值、俾民疫止。亞勞拿曰、我主我王、願以牛予爾為燔祭、以打穀之器為柴、麥為禮物、惟所欲取、俱獻於爾。大闢王曰、不可、我欲購之、以償爾值、不欲不費我財、而取爾物、用獻燔祭、奉事耶和華。於是以金三百、予亞勞拿、而購其地。在彼築壇、奉事耶和華、而獻燔祭、及酬恩祭、籲耶和華。耶和華允所祈、自天降火於祭壇、命使者以刃入鞘。是時大闢見耶和華降臨於耶布士人亞勞拿之穀場、應其所祈、遂在彼獻祭。昔在曠野摩西所造耶和華會幕及燔祭之壇、今在基遍崇邱、大闢畏耶和華使者之刃、不及陟崇邱、以詢上帝。
