When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the Lord,“ I have sinned; I, the shepherd, have done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall on me and my family.”

David saw the angel who was striking down the people. David said to the Lord,“ I’m the one who has sinned. I’m the one who has done what is wrong. I’m like a shepherd for these people. These people are like sheep. What have they done? Let your judgment be on me and my family.”

When David saw the angel striking the people, he said to the LORD,“ Look, I am the one who has sinned; I am the one who has done wrong. But these sheep, what have they done? Please, let your hand be against me and my father’s family.”

Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking down the people, and said,“ Behold, it is I who have sinned, and it is I who have done wrong; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let Your hand be against me and against my father’s house!”

When he saw the angel who was destroying the people, David said to the LORD,“ Look, it is I who have sinned and done this evil thing! As for these sheep– what have they done? Attack me and my family.”

David spoke to Yahweh when he saw the angel who struck the people, and said,“ Behold, I have sinned, and I have done perversely; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me, and against my father’s house.”

上帝啊，你為何永遠丟棄我們呢？為何向你草場的羊發怒，如煙冒出呢？

大衛數點百姓以後，心中自責。大衛向耶和華說：「我做這事大大有罪了。耶和華啊，現在求你除掉僕人的罪孽，因我所做的非常愚昧。」

大衛舉目，看見耶和華的使者站在天和地之間，手裏有拔出來的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大衛和長老都披上麻布，臉伏於地。大衛向上帝說：「吩咐數點百姓的不是我嗎？是我犯了罪，行了大惡，但這羣羊做了甚麼呢？耶和華－我的上帝啊，願你的手攻擊我和我的父家，不要降瘟疫給你的百姓。」

鑒察人的主啊，我若有罪，於你何妨？為何以我當你的箭靶，使我成為你的重擔呢？

求你將我的罪孽洗滌淨盡，潔除我的罪！因為我知道我的過犯；我的罪常在我面前。我向你犯罪，惟獨得罪了你，在你眼前行了這惡，以致你責備的時候顯為公義，判斷的時候顯為清白。看哪，我是在罪孽裏生的，在我母親懷胎的時候就有了罪。

他被掛在木頭上，親身擔當了我們的罪，使我們既然在罪上死，就得以在義上活。因他受的鞭傷，你們得了醫治。你們從前好像迷路的羊，如今卻歸回你們靈魂的牧人和監督了。

因此我撤回，在塵土和爐灰中懊悔。」

米該雅說：「我看見以色列眾人散佈在山上，如同沒有牧人的羊羣一般。耶和華說：『這些人沒有主人，他們可以平安地各自回家去。』」

那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我親眼看見大君王－萬軍之耶和華。」

「我是好牧人，好牧人為羊捨命。雇工不是牧人，羊不是他自己的，他一看見狼來，就撇下羊羣逃跑；狼抓住羊，把牠們趕散。

我必在他們之上立一牧人，就是我的僕人大衛，牧養牠們；他必牧養他們，作他們的牧人。我－耶和華必作他們的上帝，我的僕人大衛要在他們中間作王。這是我－耶和華說的。

現在，求你把僕人留下，代替這年輕人作我主的奴隸，讓這年輕人和他哥哥們一同上去。

萬軍之耶和華說：刀劍哪，興起攻擊我的牧人，攻擊我的同伴吧！要擊打牧人，羊就分散了；我必反手攻擊那微小的。

「人子啊，你要向以色列的牧人說預言，對他們說，主耶和華如此說：禍哉！以色列的牧人只知牧養自己。牧人豈不當牧養羣羊嗎？你們吃肥油、穿羊毛、宰殺肥羊，卻不牧養羣羊。瘦弱的，你們不調養；有病的，你們不醫治；受傷的，你們未包紮；被逐的，你們不去領回；失喪的，你們不尋找；卻用暴力嚴嚴地轄制牠們。牠們因無牧人就分散；既分散，就成為一切野獸的食物。我的羊流落眾山之間和各高岡上，分散在全地，無人去尋，無人去找。

你使我們如羊當作食物，把我們分散在列國中。
