When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the Lord,“ I have sinned; I, the shepherd, have done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall on me and my family.”

David saw the angel who was striking down the people. David said to the Lord,“ I’m the one who has sinned. I’m the one who has done what is wrong. I’m like a shepherd for these people. These people are like sheep. What have they done? Let your judgment be on me and my family.”

Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said,“ Behold, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me and against my father’s house.”

Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking down the people, and said,“ Behold, it is I who have sinned, and it is I who have done wrong; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let Your hand be against me and against my father’s house!”

When he saw the angel who was destroying the people, David said to the LORD,“ Look, it is I who have sinned and done this evil thing! As for these sheep– what have they done? Attack me and my family.”

David spoke to Yahweh when he saw the angel who struck the people, and said,“ Behold, I have sinned, and I have done perversely; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me, and against my father’s house.”

大衛數點了人民以後，良心一直不安，於是對耶和華說：“我作了這事，犯了大罪。耶和華啊！現在求你除去你僕人的罪孽，因為我作了非常糊塗的事！”

大衛舉目看見耶和華的使者站在天地之間，手裡拿著出了鞘的刀，指向耶路撒冷。大衛和眾長老都穿上麻布，臉伏於地。大衛對神說：“吩咐統計這人民的不是我嗎？是我犯了罪，行了這大惡；但這羊群作了甚麼呢？耶和華我的神啊，願你的手攻擊我和我的家族，不可把瘟疫降在你子民的身上。”

鑒察世人的主啊！我若犯了罪，跟你有甚麼關係呢？你為甚麼把我當作箭靶，使我以自己為重擔呢？

求你徹底洗淨我的罪孽，潔除我的罪。因為我知道我的過犯；我的罪常在我面前。我得罪了你，唯獨得罪你；我行了你眼中看為惡的事，因此，你宣判的時候，顯為公義；你審判的時候，顯為清正。看哪，我是在罪孽裡生的；我母親在罪中懷了我。

他在木頭上親身擔當了我們的罪，使我們既然不活在罪中，就可以為義而活。因他受的鞭傷，你們就得了醫治。你們從前好像迷路的羊，但現在已經回到你們靈魂的牧人和監督那裡了。

因此我厭惡自己，在塵土和灰燼中懊悔。”

米該雅說：“我看見以色列人四散在山上，好像沒有牧人的羊群一樣；耶和華說：‘這些人沒有主人，使他們平平安安各自回家吧！’”

那時我說：“我有禍了，我滅亡了！因為我是個嘴唇不潔的人，又住在嘴唇不潔的人民中間，又因為我親眼看見了大君王萬軍之耶和華。”

我是好牧人，好牧人為羊捨命。那作雇工不是牧人的，羊也不是自己的，他一見狼來，就把羊撇下逃跑，狼就抓住羊群，把他們驅散了；

“‘我必立一個牧人，就是我的僕人大衛，看管牠們，牧養牠們。他必牧養牠們，作牠們的牧人。我耶和華必作牠們的神，我的僕人大衛要在牠們中間作領袖。我耶和華已經說了。

現在求你容許僕人留下，代替這孩子作我主的奴僕，讓這孩子與他的哥哥們一同上去。

“刀劍哪，醒來吧！攻擊我的牧人，我的同伴，（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告。）要擊打牧人，羊群就分散；我也要轉過手來，攻擊小羊。

“人子啊！你要說預言攻擊以色列眾牧者；你要對他們說預言：‘主耶和華這樣說：以色列眾牧者有禍了！他們只顧牧養自己。牧者豈不應當牧養羊群嗎？你們吃脂油、穿羊毛，宰肥壯的羊，卻不牧養羊群。瘦弱的，你們沒有養壯；患病的，你們沒有醫治；受傷的，你們沒有包紮；被趕散的，你們沒有領回；迷失的，你們沒有尋找；你們反而用強暴嚴嚴地管轄牠們。牠們沒有牧人，就分散了，作了田野一切走獸的食物。我的羊在眾山和各高岡上流離；牠們分散在全地上，沒有人去尋，也沒有人去找。

你使我們像給人宰吃的羊，把我們分散在列國中。
