When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the Lord,“ I have sinned; I, the shepherd, have done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall on me and my family.”

大卫数点了人民以后，良心一直不安，于是对耶和华说：“我作了这事，犯了大罪。耶和华啊！现在求你除去你仆人的罪孽，因为我作了非常糊涂的事！”

大卫举目看见耶和华的使者站在天地之间，手里拿着出了鞘的刀，指向耶路撒冷。大卫和众长老都穿上麻布，脸伏于地。大卫对神说：“吩咐统计这人民的不是我吗？是我犯了罪，行了这大恶；但这羊群作了什么呢？耶和华我的神啊，愿你的手攻击我和我的家族，不可把瘟疫降在你子民的身上。”

鉴察世人的主啊！我若犯了罪，跟你有什么关系呢？你为什么把我当作箭靶，使我以自己为重担呢？

求你彻底洗净我的罪孽，洁除我的罪。因为我知道我的过犯；我的罪常在我面前。我得罪了你，唯独得罪你；我行了你眼中看为恶的事，因此，你宣判的时候，显为公义；你审判的时候，显为清正。看哪，我是在罪孽里生的；我母亲在罪中怀了我。

他在木头上亲身担当了我们的罪，使我们既然不活在罪中，就可以为义而活。因他受的鞭伤，你们就得了医治。你们从前好像迷路的羊，但现在已经回到你们灵魂的牧人和监督那里了。

因此我厌恶自己，在尘土和灰烬中懊悔。”

米该雅说：“我看见以色列人四散在山上，好像没有牧人的羊群一样；耶和华说：‘这些人没有主人，使他们平平安安各自回家吧！’”

那时我说：“我有祸了，我灭亡了！因为我是个嘴唇不洁的人，又住在嘴唇不洁的人民中间，又因为我亲眼看见了大君王万军之耶和华。”

我是好牧人，好牧人为羊舍命。那作雇工不是牧人的，羊也不是自己的，他一见狼来，就把羊撇下逃跑，狼就抓住羊群，把他们驱散了；

“‘我必立一个牧人，就是我的仆人大卫，看管它们，牧养它们。他必牧养它们，作它们的牧人。我耶和华必作它们的神，我的仆人大卫要在它们中间作领袖。我耶和华已经说了。

现在求你容许仆人留下，代替这孩子作我主的奴仆，让这孩子与他的哥哥们一同上去。

“刀剑哪，醒来吧！攻击我的牧人，我的同伴，（这是万军之耶和华的宣告。）要击打牧人，羊群就分散；我也要转过手来，攻击小羊。

“人子啊！你要说预言攻击以色列众牧者；你要对他们说预言：‘主耶和华这样说：以色列众牧者有祸了！他们只顾牧养自己。牧者岂不应当牧养羊群吗？你们吃脂油、穿羊毛，宰肥壮的羊，却不牧养羊群。瘦弱的，你们没有养壮；患病的，你们没有医治；受伤的，你们没有包扎；被赶散的，你们没有领回；迷失的，你们没有寻找；你们反而用强暴严严地管辖它们。它们没有牧人，就分散了，作了田野一切走兽的食物。我的羊在众山和各高冈上流离；它们分散在全地上，没有人去寻，也没有人去找。

你使我们像给人宰吃的羊，把我们分散在列国中。
