The angel reached his hand out to destroy Jerusalem. But the Lord stopped sending the plague. So he spoke to the angel who was making the people suffer. He said,“ That is enough! Do not kill any more people.” The angel of the Lord was at Araunah’s threshing floor. Araunah was from the city of Jebus.

And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel who was working destruction among the people,“ It is enough; now stay your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

你们要撕裂心肠，不撕裂衣服。归向耶和华你们的神；因为他有恩典，有怜悯，不轻易发怒，有丰盛的慈爱，并且后悔不降所说的灾。或者他转意后悔，留下余福，就是留下献给耶和华你们神的素祭和奠祭，也未可知。

耶和华就后悔造人在地上，心中忧伤。

因为耶和华要巡行击杀埃及人，他看见血在门楣上和左右的门框上，就必越过那门，不容灭命的进你们的房屋，击杀你们。

“我立扫罗为王，我后悔了；因为他转去不跟从我，不遵守我的命令。”撒母耳便甚忧愁，终夜哀求耶和华。

希律不归荣耀给神，所以主的使者立刻罚他，他被虫所咬，气就绝了。

当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，一看，都是死尸了。

耶和华就差遣一个使者进入亚述王营中，把所有大能的勇士和官长、将帅尽都灭了。亚述王满面含羞地回到本国，进了他神的庙中，有他亲生的儿子在那里用刀杀了他。

所罗门就在耶路撒冷、耶和华向他父大卫显现的摩利亚山上，就是耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场上、大卫所指定的地方预备好了，开工建造耶和华的殿。

这血要在你们所住的房屋上作记号；我一见这血，就越过你们去。我击杀埃及地头生的时候，灾殃必不临到你们身上灭你们。”

耶和华啊，我们要等到几时呢？求你转回，为你的仆人后悔。

耶和华要为他的百姓伸冤，为他的仆人后悔。

这样的人受了众人的责罚也就够了，

愿他们的道路又暗又滑，有耶和华的使者追赶他们。

和耶布斯人、亚摩利人、革迦撒人、

自己在旷野走了一日的路程，来到一棵罗腾树下，就坐在那里求死，说：“耶和华啊，罢了！求你取我的性命，因为我不胜于我的列祖。”

至于住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，犹大人不能把他们赶出去，耶布斯人却在耶路撒冷与犹大人同住，直到今日。

我必不永远相争，也不长久发怒，恐怕我所造的人与灵性都必发昏。

当日，大卫说：“谁攻打耶布斯人，当上水沟攻打我心里所恨恶的瘸子、瞎子。”从此有俗语说：“在那里有瞎子、瘸子，他不能进屋去。”

你们的神说：“你们要安慰，安慰我的百姓。要对耶路撒冷说安慰的话，又向她宣告说，她争战的日子已满了；她的罪孽赦免了；她为自己的一切罪，从耶和华手中加倍受罚。”

你打发他们去，是相机宜与他们相争；刮东风的日子，就用暴风将他们逐去。

耶和华就后悔说：“这灾也可免了。”

便雅悯人没有赶出住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人。耶布斯人仍在耶路撒冷与便雅悯人同住，直到今日。

但他有怜悯，赦免他们的罪孽，不灭绝他们，而且屡次消他的怒气，不发尽他的忿怒。

临近耶布斯的时候，日头快要落了，仆人对主人说：“我们不如进这耶布斯人的城里住宿。”

神差遣使者去灭耶路撒冷，刚要灭的时候，耶和华看见后悔，就不降这灾了，吩咐灭城的天使说：“够了，住手吧！”那时，耶和华的使者站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场那里。大卫举目，看见耶和华的使者站在天地间，手里有拔出来的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大卫和长老都身穿麻衣，面伏于地。

第三次来，对他们说：“现在你们仍然睡觉安歇吧够了，时候到了。看哪，人子被卖在罪人手里了。

这雷轰和冰雹已经够了。请你们求耶和华，我就容你们去，不再留住你们。”

我必除去他口中带血之肉和牙齿内可憎之物。他必作为余剩的人归与我们的神，必在犹大像族长；以革伦人必如耶布斯人。

耶和华就后悔说：“这灾可以免了。”

我何时论到一邦或一国说，要拔出、拆毁、毁坏；我所说的那一邦，若是转意离开他们的恶，我就必后悔，不将我想要施行的灾祸降与他们。我何时论到一邦或一国说，要建立、栽植；他们若行我眼中看为恶的事，不听从我的话，我就必后悔，不将我所说的福气赐给他们。

当日，迦得来见大卫，对他说：“你上去，在耶布斯人亚劳拿的禾场上为耶和华筑一座坛。”

耶和华啊，我听见你的名声就惧怕。耶和华啊，求你在这些年间复兴你的作为，在这些年间显明出来；在发怒的时候以怜悯为念。

于是耶和华后悔，不把所说的祸降与他的百姓。
