Do not kill any more people.” The angel of the Lord was at Araunah’s threshing floor. Araunah was from the city of Jebus.

你们要撕裂你们的心肠，不要撕裂你们的衣服。并要归向耶和华你们的神，因为他有恩典有怜悯，不轻易发怒，并且有丰盛的慈爱，随时转意不降灾祸。有谁知道或许他会转意，并且施慈爱，留下余福，就是留下献给耶和华你们的神的素祭和奠祭。

于是，耶和华后悔造人在地上，心中忧伤。

因为耶和华要走遍各处击打埃及人；他一看见门楣和两边的门柱上有血，就越过那门，不让那毁灭者进入你们的房屋来击杀你们。

“我后悔立了扫罗为王，因为他已经离去不跟随我，也不执行我的命令了。”撒母耳非常忿怒，整夜哀求耶和华。

他不归荣耀给神，所以主的使者立刻击打他，他被虫咬，就断了气。

那天晚上，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述军营杀了十八万五千人。早上，他们起来的时候，看哪，到处都是死尸。

耶和华就差派一位使者，进入亚述王的军营中，把所有英勇的战士、官长和将帅，尽都消灭了。亚述王满面羞愧返回本国去了。他进入自己的神庙的时候，他亲生的儿子在那里用刀把他杀了。

所罗门在耶路撒冷，在耶和华向他父亲大卫显现过的摩利亚山上，就是在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场上，大卫预备的地方，开工建造耶和华的殿。

这血要在你们居住的房屋上作你们的记号；我击打埃及地的时候，一看见这血，就越过你们去，灾祸必不临到你们身上毁灭你们。

耶和华啊！要到几时呢？求你回心转意，求你怜恤你的仆人。

因为耶和华要为自己的子民伸冤，他要怜悯自己的仆人。

这样的人受了许多人的责备，也就够了，

愿他们的路又暗又滑，有耶和华的使者追赶他们。

以及耶布斯人、亚摩利人、革迦撒人、

他自己却在旷野走了一天的路，来到一棵罗腾树下，就坐在那里求死，说：“耶和华啊，现在已经够了，求你取我的性命吧，因为我并不比我的列祖好。”

至于住在耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，犹大人不能把他们赶走；所以耶布斯人在耶路撒冷与犹大人同住，直到今日。

我必不永远争辩，也不长久发怒，因为这样，人的灵，就是我所造的人，在我面前就要发昏。

那一天大卫说：“攻打耶布斯人的，要把大卫心中恨恶的‘瞎子’和‘瘸子’丢进水沟里。”因此有句俗语说：“瞎眼的或瘸腿的，都不能进殿里。”

你们的神说：“你们要安慰，要安慰我的子民！你们要向耶路撒冷说慈爱的话，又要向它宣告：他们的苦难已经满足了，他们的罪孽已经还清了，他们因着自己的一切罪，已经从耶和华的手里受到过重的刑罚。”

不，你只是渐渐地，藉着他们被掳与他们相争；在吹东风的日子，就用暴风把他们逐去。

耶和华对这事改变心意。主耶和华说：“这事也不会发生。”

便雅悯人没有赶走住在耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，所以耶布斯人与便雅悯人一同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。

他却有怜悯，赦免罪孽，没有把他们灭绝，并且多次抑制自己的怒气，没有完全宣泄他的烈怒。

他们走近耶布斯的时候，日头快要落了；仆人对主人说：“来，让我们转到这耶布斯人的城去，好在那里住宿。”

神差派一位使者到耶路撒冷去，要毁灭那城；正要施行毁灭的时候，耶和华看见了，就后悔所要降的这灾，于是对施行毁灭的天使说：“够了！住手吧！”那时，耶和华的使者正站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场附近。大卫举目看见耶和华的使者站在天地之间，手里拿着出了鞘的刀，指向耶路撒冷。大卫和众长老都穿上麻布，脸伏于地。

耶稣第三次回来，对他们说：“你们还在睡觉休息吗？够了，时候到了，看哪，人子要被交在罪人手里了。

请你们祈求耶和华吧，因为这雷声和冰雹已经够了；我决意让你们离开，你们不可再留在这里。”

我必除去他们口中的血，和他们牙齿间可憎之物。余剩下来的人要归于我们的神，像犹大的一族；以革伦人也必像耶布斯人一样。

耶和华对这事改变心意，耶和华说：“这事不会发生。”

我什么时候宣布要拔出、拆毁、毁灭一邦或一国，如果我论到的那一邦转离他们的恶行，我就必回心转意，不把我原定的灾祸降给他们。同样，我什么时候宣布要建立、栽植一邦或一国，如果他们行我眼中看为恶的事，不听从我的话，我就必回心转意，不把我应许的好处赐给他们。

那一天，迦得来见大卫，对他说：“你上去，在耶布斯人亚劳拿的打禾场那里，为耶和华立一座祭坛。”

耶和华啊！我听见你的声音，惧怕你的作为；求你在这些年间复兴，在这些年间彰显，发怒的时候以怜悯为怀。

于是，耶和华改变初衷，不把他所说的祸降在他的人民身上。
