于是迦得来到大卫那里告诉他，问他：“你要国中有七年的饥荒呢？或是你在敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？或是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢？现在你要考虑思量，我怎样去回覆那差我来的。”

于是迦得来见大卫，对他说：“你愿意国中有七年的饥荒呢？是在你敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢？现在你要揣摩思想，我好回复那差我来的。”

于是迦得来到大卫那里告诉他，问他：“你要国中有七年的饥荒呢？或是你在敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？或是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢？现在你要考虑思量，我怎样去回覆那差我来的。”

迦得就来见大卫，对他说：“你愿意国内有七年饥荒呢？还是被敌人追杀三个月呢？还是国内发生三天瘟疫呢？请你考虑好后告诉我，我好回复那差我来的。”

于是迦得来见大卫，问他说：“你要国中三年（按照《马索拉文本》，“三年”作“七年”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译；参代上21:12）的饥荒呢？或是要在你敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？或是要国中有三天的瘟疫呢？现在你要想想，决定我该用什么话回覆那差我来的。”

於是迦得來見大衛，對他說：「你願意國中有七年的饑荒呢？是在你敵人面前逃跑，被追趕三個月呢？是在你國中有三日的瘟疫呢？現在你要揣摩思想，我好回覆那差我來的。」

於是迦得來見大衛，通知他，問他說：『你願意你這地有三年饑荒呢？還是你在敵人面前逃跑、而他追趕着你三個月呢？抑或在你這地有三天的瘟疫呢？現在你要思想、要看清楚我該用甚麼話去回覆那差遣我的。』

迦得就來見大衛，向他傳告說：「你要國中遭受饑荒七年，或被敵人追逼逃亡三個月，還是國中有瘟疫三天呢？現在你要想好，看看我應該怎樣回話給派遣我來的那一位。」

迦得遂詣大衛曰、或饑饉臨於爾土七年、或為敵追襲遁逃三月、或疫癘流行爾國三日、爾其思之、俾我覆遣我者、

伽得告大闢曰、或饑饉臨於爾土、歷至七年、或為敵追襲、歷至三月、或瘟疫流行爾國、歷至三日、爾其思之、俾我反告遣我者。

So Gad went to David and said to him,“ Shall there come on you three years of famine in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague in your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”

So Gad went to David. He said to him,“ Take your choice. Do you want three years when there won’t be enough food in your land? Or do you want three months when you will run away from your enemies while they chase you? Or do you want three days when there will be a plague in your land? Think it over. Then take your pick. Tell me how to answer the one who sent me.”

So Gad came to David and told him, and said to him,“ Shall three years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ pestilence in your land? Now consider, and decide what answer I shall return to him who sent me.”

So Gad came to David and asked him,“ Will you choose three years of famine throughout your land, three months of fleeing from your enemies, or three days of severe plague throughout your land? Think this over and decide what answer I should give the Lord who sent me.”

So Gad went to David, told him the choices, and asked him,“ Do you want three years of famine to come on your land, to flee from your foes three months while they pursue you, or to have a plague in your land three days? Now, consider carefully what answer I should take back to the one who sent me.”

So Gad came to David and told him, and said to him,“ Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee for three months before your enemies while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ of plague in your land? Now consider and see what answer I shall return to Him who sent me.”

So Gad came to David and told him; and he said to him,“ Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or shall you flee three months before your enemies, while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ plague in your land? Now consider and see what answer I should take back to Him who sent me.”

So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thy foes while they pursue thee? or shall there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise thee, and consider what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

So Gad went to David, told him the choices, and asked him,“ Do you want three years of famine to come on your land, to flee from your foes three months while they pursue you, or to have a plague in your land three days? Now, think it over and decide what answer I should take back to the One who sent me.”

So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

Gad went to David and told him,“ Shall seven years of famine come upon your land? Or shall you flee for three months from your enemy with him in hot pursuit? Or shall there be three days of plague in your land? Now decide what I should tell the one who sent me.”

So Gad came to David, and told him, and said to him,“ Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ pestilence in your land? Now answer, and consider what answer I shall return to him who sent me.”

三年的饥荒，或败在敌人面前，被敌人的刀追杀三个月，或在国中三日有耶和华的刀，就是瘟疫，让耶和华的使者在以色列全境施行毁灭呢？’现在你要想一想，我怎样去回覆那差我来的。”

住在基列的提斯比人以利亚对亚哈说：“我指着所事奉永生的耶和华—以色列的上帝起誓，这几年我若不祷告，必不降露水，也不下雨。”耶和华的话临到以利亚，说：“你离开这里往东去，躲在约旦河东边的基立溪旁。你要喝那溪里的水，我已吩咐乌鸦在那里供养你。”于是以利亚去了，他遵照耶和华的话做，去住在约旦河东的基立溪旁。乌鸦早上给他叼饼和肉来，晚上也有饼和肉，他又喝溪里的水。过了些日子溪水干了，因为雨没有下在地上。

我要使刀剑临到你们，报复你们的背约。你们若被赶入城中，我要降瘟疫在你们中间，把你们交在仇敌手中。

大卫在位年间有饥荒，一连三年，大卫求问耶和华，耶和华说：“扫罗和他家犯了流人血之罪，因为他杀死了基遍人。”

“耶和华必使你在仇敌面前溃败。你从一条路去攻击他们，必从七条路逃跑。地上万国必因你而惊骇。

你们劳力却白费，因为你们的地没有出产，地上的树也不结果实。

我就要这样对待你们：我必使惊惶临到你们，使你们患痨病，害热病，以致眼睛失明，身体衰弱。你们要白白撒种，因为仇敌要吃尽你们所种的。我要向你们变脸，使你们败在仇敌的面前。恨恶你们的必管辖你们；无人追赶，你们却要逃跑。

他们必在你的各城围困你，直到你在全地所倚靠、高大坚固的城墙都倒塌。他们必在耶和华—你上帝所赐给你全地的各城围困你。

耶和华必用埃及人的疮、溃疡、癣和疥攻击你，使你不得医治。

至于你们幸存的人，我要使他们在敌人之地心中惊慌，甚至风吹落叶的声音也把他们吓跑。他们要逃避，像人逃避刀剑，虽无人追赶，却要跌倒。虽然无人追赶，他们却要彼此绊倒，像逃避刀剑一样。你们在仇敌面前必站立不住。

耶和华要用痨病、热病、发炎、高烧、刀剑、焚风和霉烂攻击你；这些要追赶你，直到你灭亡。

耶和华必攻击你，使你膝上腿上，从脚掌到头顶，都长满了毒疮，无法医治。

“人子啊，若有一国犯罪干犯我，我也伸手攻击它，断绝他们粮食的供应，使饥荒临到那地，将人与牲畜从其中剪除；

或者我叫瘟疫流行那地，把我的愤怒带着血倾在其中，好使人与牲畜从其中剪除；虽有挪亚、但以理、约伯在那里，主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他们不能救儿子女儿，只能因自己的义救自己的命。“主耶和华如此说：我若将这四样大灾，就是刀剑、饥荒、恶兽、瘟疫降在耶路撒冷，将人与牲畜从其中剪除，岂不是更严重吗？

我对你们说实话，在以利亚的时候，天闭塞了三年六个月，遍地有大饥荒，那时，以色列中有许多寡妇，

也不怕黑夜流行的瘟疫，或是午间灭人的灾害。
