Whoever touches thorns uses a tool of iron or the shaft of a spear; they are burned up where they lie.”

現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改；但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給他提鞋子也不配，他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的穀物，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡。」

他本國的百姓卻恨他，打發使者隨後去，說：『我們不願意這個人作我們的王。』

那時，因他發怒地就搖撼震動；天的根基也戰抖搖撼。他的鼻孔冒煙上騰；他的口發火焚燒，連煤炭也燒着了。他使天下垂，親自降臨；黑雲在他腳下。

丟在火爐裏，在那裏要哀哭切齒了。

人若不常在我裏面，就像枝子被丟在外面，枯乾了，人撿起來，扔進火裏燒了。

那時這不法的人必出現，主耶穌要用口中的氣滅絕他，以自己來臨的光輝摧毀他。

我心中不存憤怒。惟願在戰爭中我有荊棘和蒺藜，我就起步攻擊他，把他一同焚燒；
