「他本國的人卻憎恨他，就差派特使在他背後去，說：『我們不要這個人做王統治我們。』

那時大地搖撼、震動，天的根基顫抖、搖撼，因為他發怒了。濃煙從他的鼻孔上騰，吞噬的烈火從他口中而出，火炭從他那裡燃起。他又使諸天下垂，親自降臨；他的腳下是幽深的黑暗。

把他們丟進火爐裡。在那裡將有哀哭和切齒。

一個人如果不住在我裡面，就像枝條被丟在外面枯乾了，然後被收集扔進火裡焚燒。

然後這不法之人要被顯露出來。主耶穌要以自己口中的氣殺掉他，藉著自己來臨的顯現除去他。

我裡面沒有怒火，但誰要是給我荊棘蒺藜，我就大步前去與他們交戰，把他們徹底燒掉；

神要在烈火中報應那些不認識神的人，以及那些不順從我們主耶穌福音的人；
