The God of Israel has spoken; the Rock of Israel has said to me: When one rules justly over men, ruling in the fear of God,

以色列族至能之上帝許我曰、必有義主、畏上帝而治人。

The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me:‘ When one rules over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me,‘ A king must rule over people in a way that is right. He must have respect for God when he rules.

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me:‘ The one who rules righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said it; The Rock of Israel spoke to me:‘ He who rules over mankind righteously, Who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me:‘ He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God.

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me: One that ruleth over men righteously, That ruleth in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men[ must be] just, ruling in the fear of God.

The God of Israel spoke, the protector of Israel spoke to me. The one who rules fairly among men, the one who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me,‘ One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

“ For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?

There he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.

“ The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

He said,“ The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence.

Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.

Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule in justice.

Moreover, from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year to the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes the king, twelve years, neither I nor my brothers ate the food allowance of the governor.

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”

Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.”Moreover, in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed certain Levites and priests and heads of families of Israel, to give judgment for the Lord and to decide disputed cases. They had their seat at Jerusalem.And he charged them:“ Thus you shall do in the fear of the Lord, in faithfulness, and with your whole heart:

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I say to God, my rock:“ Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”

Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!

May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!

Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.

How could one have chased a thousand, and two have put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had given them up?For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves.

But of the Son he says,“ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

“ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

“ You shall appoint judges and officers in all your towns that the Lord your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality, and you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous.Justice, and only justice, you shall follow, that you may live and inherit the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

“ You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit.Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.

“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

God also said to Moses,“ Say this to the people of Israel:‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.
