The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me:‘ When one rules over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me,‘ A king must rule over people in a way that is right. He must have respect for God when he rules.

The God of Israel has spoken; the Rock of Israel has said to me: When one rules justly over men, ruling in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me:‘ The one who rules righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said it; The Rock of Israel spoke to me:‘ He who rules over mankind righteously, Who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me:‘ He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God.

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me: One that ruleth over men righteously, That ruleth in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men[ must be] just, ruling in the fear of God.

The God of Israel spoke, the protector of Israel spoke to me. The one who rules fairly among men, the one who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me,‘ One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

For who is God besides the LORD? And who is a rock? Only our God.

And he set up an altar there and called it God, the God of Israel.

The Rock— his work is perfect; all his ways are just. A faithful God, without bias, he is righteous and true.

He said: The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,my God, my rock where I seek refuge. My shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior, you save me from violence.

But you should select from all the people able men, God-fearing, trustworthy, and hating dishonest profit. Place them over the people as commanders of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens.

Indeed, a king will reign righteously, and rulers will rule justly.

Furthermore, from the day King Artaxerxes appointed me to be their governor in the land of Judah— from the twentieth year until his thirty-second year, twelve years— I and my associates never ate from the food allotted to the governor.

Now if you will carefully listen to me and keep my covenant, you will be my own possession out of all the peoples, although the whole earth is mine,and you will be my kingdom of priests and my holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”

And now, may the terror of the LORD be on you. Watch what you do, for there is no injustice or partiality or taking bribes with the LORD our God.”Jehoshaphat also appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites and priests and some of the Israelite family heads for deciding the LORD’s will and for settling disputes of the residents of Jerusalem.He commanded them, saying,“ In the fear of the LORD, with integrity, and wholeheartedly, you are to do the following:

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; he is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I will say to God, my rock,“ Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression?”

Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked.”

The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over your surrounding enemies.

He will judge your people with righteousness and your afflicted ones with justice.

Speak up, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the oppressed and needy.

How could one pursue a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?But their“ rock” is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.

but to the Son: Your throne, God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of justice.

Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, he will not execute justice by what he hears with his ears,but he will judge the poor righteously and execute justice for the oppressed of the land. He will strike the land with a scepter from his mouth, and he will kill the wicked with a command from his lips.Righteousness will be a belt around his hips; faithfulness will be a belt around his waist.

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

“ Appoint judges and officials for your tribes in all your towns the LORD your God is giving you. They are to judge the people with righteous judgment.Do not deny justice or show partiality to anyone. Do not accept a bribe, for it blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.Pursue justice and justice alone, so that you will live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you.

“ You must not deny justice to a poor person among you in his lawsuit.Stay far away from a false accusation. Do not kill the innocent and the just, because I will not justify the guilty.You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and corrupts the words of the righteous.

“ Look, the days are coming”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.

God also said to Moses,“ Say this to the Israelites: The LORD, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name forever; this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.
