我們倚靠上帝才得施展大能，因為踐踏我們敵人的就是他。

你是那拯救君王的，你是那救僕人大衛脫離害命之刀的。

因此，我要使他與位大的同份，與強盛的均分擄物。因為他傾倒自己的生命，以至於死，也列在罪犯之中。他卻擔當多人的罪，為他們的過犯代求。

最後，你們要靠着主，依賴他的大能大力作剛強的人。要穿戴上帝所賜的全副軍裝，好抵擋魔鬼的詭計。因為我們的爭戰並不是對抗有血有肉的人，而是對抗那些執政的、掌權的、管轄這幽暗世界的，以及天空靈界的惡魔。所以，要拿起上帝所賜的全副軍裝，好在邪惡的日子能抵擋仇敵，並且完成了一切後還能站立得住。所以，要站穩了，用真理當作帶子束腰，用公義當作護心鏡遮胸，又用和平的福音當作預備走路的鞋穿在腳上。此外，要拿信德當作盾牌，用來撲滅那惡者一切燒着的箭。要戴上救恩的頭盔，拿着聖靈的寶劍－就是上帝的道。要靠着聖靈，隨時多方禱告祈求，並要為此警醒不倦，為眾聖徒祈求。

亞蘭王的元帥乃縵在他主人面前是一個偉大的人，得王的喜悅，因為耶和華曾藉他使亞蘭人得勝。他雖然是大能的勇士，卻染上了痲瘋。

約書亞一舉擊敗了這些王，奪了他們的地，因為耶和華－以色列的上帝為以色列作戰。

那日，耶和華使以色列人得勝，戰爭一直打到伯‧亞文。

我們不是傳自己，而是傳耶穌基督為主，並且自己因耶穌作你們的僕人。
