別的我不敢說，我只說基督藉著我所作的事，就是用言語行為，藉著神蹟和奇事的大能，以及聖靈的大能，使外族人順服；這樣，我從耶路撒冷直到以利里古，把基督的福音都傳開了。

我們靠著神奮勇作戰，因為他必踐踏我們的敵人。

你是那使君王得勝的，是那救拔你（“你”原文作“他”）僕人大衛脫離殺人的刀的。

所以，我要使他與偉大的人同分，他必與強盛的均分擄物，因為他把自己的性命傾倒，以致於死。他被列在罪犯之中，卻擔當了多人的罪，又為罪犯代求。

參孫來到利希，非利士人就吶喊著出來迎接他，耶和華的靈大大臨到參孫身上，他臂上的繩子就像被火燒的麻一樣，他的捆綁都從他的手上落下來。

最後，你們要靠主的大能大力，在他裡面剛強。要穿戴神所賜的全副軍裝，使你們能抵擋魔鬼的詭計。因為我們的爭戰，對抗的不是有血有肉的人，而是執政的、掌權的、管轄這黑暗世界的和天上的邪靈。所以要穿起神所賜的全副軍裝，使你們在這邪惡的時代裡可以抵擋得住，並且在作完了一切之後，還能站立得穩。因此，你們要站穩，用真理當帶子束腰，披上公義的胸甲，把和平的福音預備好了，當作鞋子，穿在腳上，拿起信心的盾牌，用來撲滅那惡者所有的火箭；並且要戴上救恩的頭盔，拿起聖靈的寶劍，就是神的道，藉著各樣的禱告和祈求，隨時在聖靈裡祈禱，並且要在這事上恆久警醒，為眾聖徒祈求。

亞蘭王的軍長乃縵在他的主人面前是一個大人物，很得王的賞識，因為耶和華曾藉他把勝利賜給亞蘭。這個人是個勇猛的戰士，可惜他是個痲風病人。

約書亞在這一次戰役中擊敗了這些王和佔領了他們的地，是因為耶和華以色列的神為以色列作戰。

那一天，耶和華拯救了以色列人。戰爭伸展到伯．亞文。

我們並不是傳揚自己，而是傳揚耶穌基督是主，並且為了耶穌的緣故成了你們的僕人。

耶和華使他們在以色列人面前潰亂，約書亞在基遍大大地擊殺他們，沿著伯．和崙的上坡路追趕他們，擊打他們，直到亞西加和瑪基大。
