今當告我僕大闢、萬有之主耶和華云、昔爾在羊牢牧羊、我特遴選爾、使為我民以色列族長。不論所往、我眷祐爾、絕爾諸敵、錫爾大名、同於斯世之豪傑。

遂召之至、其容赤色、雙眸炯然、丰采甚都。耶和華曰、斯人是也。速沐以膏。撒母耳取角中之膏以沐之、兄弟咸睹、自是以後、耶和華之神感大闢、撒母耳啟行、歸於拉馬。○

臣僕大闢、既為我得、沐以聖膏兮、

遴選大闢為僕、不使守群畜、牧牝羊、俾牧上帝之選民、即雅各家以色列族兮。

基督之道、充塞爾中、懷厥智慧彼此勸誨、以詩章、歌頌、神賦、虔心頌主、

曰、摩西例、先知書、及詩篇、所載指我者、皆應、我素偕爾、曾言之矣、

又使利未人、在耶和華匱前、供其役事、頌禱尊榮以色列族之上帝耶和華。首亞薩、次撒加利亞、耶葉、示米喇末、耶歇、馬得底、以利押、庇拿雅、阿伯以東、耶葉、鳴琴鼓瑟、亞薩敲鈸。

曰我沐以膏、立之為王、治理郇山、即我聖岡。

耶和華使悖逆者歸於糜爛、自天降雷以擊之、耶和華必鞫地極、簡以治民者、使加能力、選以沐膏者、使角崢嶸。○

我生斯世、猶在帷幕之中、使爾憶道、吾以為宜、吾自知棄帷幕不遠、以吾主耶穌基督示我、故黽勉使爾、於我沒世之後憶斯道、

是時大闢頌美耶和華、使亞薩及其同儕誦之、

是誠心所願兮、是誠心所願兮、耶西子大闢、畢其祈兮。

彼此酬答、以詩章、歌頌、神賦、口唱、心和、而讚美乎主、恆託我主耶穌基督名、萬事謝父上帝、

彈琴作歌、製樂器、一如大闢、

當謳歌誦詩、稱其異跡、

事上帝之人摩西、其未沒時為以色列族祝嘏、

人慘怛、則祈禱、逸樂、則謳歌、

蓋詩篇中、大闢自言、主謂我主云、

耶和華使以色列族脫於諸敵、安居斯土、歷日已久、約書亞壽高年邁、召以色列眾長老、牧伯、刑官族長、告之曰、我壽高年邁。爾之上帝耶和華緣爾故而伐斯民、爾所目擊、蓋爾上帝耶和華助爾以戰、東自約但、西至大海、我所滅之國、與所遺之民、我掣籤分其地、與爾支派為業。爾之上帝耶和華將驅斯民於爾前、使爾據其地、以踐前言。故當自守、遵摩西律例所錄諸言、不偏於左、不偏於右。勿與爾中之遺民往來、勿稱其上帝之名、毋指以誓、毋服事、毋崇拜。恆從爾上帝耶和華、如爾所行自昔迄今。較爾強大之民、耶和華逐之於爾前、無能禦爾、至於今日。是以爾中之人、一可驅千、蓋爾之上帝耶和華助爾以戰、踐其前言。故當謹恪、愛爾之上帝耶和華。如爾反是、恆從爾中遺民、與之嫁娶往來、則當知爾上帝耶和華必不再驅斯民於爾前、斯民必陷爾於坎阱、為爾目中之刺、肘下之棘、迨爾滅亡、在爾上帝耶和華所賜之腴壤。今日我將逝世、無異凡民、乃爾一心一意、知爾上帝耶和華所許之福、萬無一失、毋或少遺。爾上帝耶和華所許諸福、既臨於爾、爾反其道、則爾上帝耶和華亦必使諸禍降臨、迨爾滅亡、在爾上帝耶和華所賜之腴壤。如爾背爾上帝耶和華所命之約、服事崇拜他上帝、則耶和華必震怒爾、使爾速亡、於其所賜之腴壤。

雅各召眾子曰、當集於前、我將以異日之事告爾。
