In my distress I called to the LORD; I called to my God. From his heavenly temple he heard my voice; he listened to my cry for help.

我苦難中呼耶和華、籲我上帝兮、彼自殿中垂聽我聲、我之呼籲達於其耳兮、

我遘艱辛之際、呼籲耶和華、祈我上帝、聲聞於上、彼自宮中、俯聽我祈。

我於急難時呼籲主、呼籲我天主、主自殿中俯聞我聲、我之籲懇為主耳所聞、

“ In my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears.

When I was in trouble I called out to the Lord. I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice. My cry for help reached his ears.

“ In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I called. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry came to his ears.

But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I cried to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry reached his ears.

This oppressed man cried out and the LORD heard; he saved him from all his troubles.

When my life was ebbing away, I called out to the LORD, and my prayer came to your holy temple.

During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.

But respond favorably to your servant’s prayer and his request for help, O LORD my God. Answer the desperate prayer your servant is presenting to you today.Night and day may you watch over this temple, the place where you promised you would live. May you answer your servant’s prayer for this place.Respond to the request of your servant and your people Israel for this place. Hear from inside your heavenly dwelling place and respond favorably.

The LORD pays attention to the godly and hears their cry for help.But the LORD opposes evildoers and wipes out all memory of them from the earth.The godly cry out and the LORD hears; he saves them from all their troubles.

I thought I had been banished from your sight, that I would never again see your holy temple!

But the LORD is in his majestic palace. The whole earth is speechless in his presence!”

I have asked the LORD for one thing– this is what I desire! I want to live in the LORD’s house all the days of my life, so I can gaze at the splendor of the LORD and contemplate in his temple.

Look, the pay you have held back from the workers who mowed your fields cries out against you, and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.

Then he said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed,“ My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

The LORD said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt. I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

And in his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.]
