我要差遣他攻擊褻瀆的國，吩咐他對付我所惱怒的民，搶走擄物，奪取掠物，將他們踐踏，如同街上的泥土一般。

亞蘭王滅絕約哈斯的軍隊，踐踏他們如禾場上的塵沙，只給約哈斯留下五十騎兵，十輛戰車，一萬步兵。

他們必如戰場上的勇士，踐踏仇敵如街上的泥土。他們必爭戰，因為耶和華與他們同在，他們必使騎馬的羞愧。

他們要倒在刀下，又被擄到各國去。耶路撒冷要被外邦人踐踏，直到外邦人的日子滿了。」

我搗碎他們，如同風前的灰塵；傾倒他們，如同街上的泥土。

耶和華啊，你增添國民，你增添國民，得了榮耀，又拓展國土的疆界。

我曾說，我要粉碎他們，使他們的名從人間消失。

耶和華說：「來，來！你們要從北方之地逃回；因我曾把你們分散到天的四方。這是耶和華說的。」

萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪，那日臨近，勢如燒着的火爐，凡狂傲的和行惡的都如碎稭，在那日被燒盡，根與枝條無一存留。

願他們像風前的糠粃，有耶和華的使者趕逐他們。

於是鐵、泥、銅、銀、金都一同砸得粉碎，如夏天禾場上的糠粃，被風吹散，無處可尋。打碎這像的石頭成了一座大山，覆蓋全地。
