我的仇敌看见了，就必蒙羞，就是那曾经对我说：“耶和华你的神在哪里”的人，我必亲眼看见他遭报；那时，他必被人践踏，好像街上的泥土。

我要差派他去攻击一个不敬虔的国，吩咐他去攻击我恼怒的子民，掳去掠物，抢夺掳物，把他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。

于是耶和华没有给约哈斯留下余民，只剩下骑兵五十人，战车十辆和步兵一万人，因为亚兰王毁灭他们，践踏他们好像禾场上的尘土。

他们必像勇士，在战场上把仇敌践踏在街上的泥土中，他们必争战，因为耶和华与他们同在，他们必使敌方的骑士羞愧。

他们将倒在刀下，被掳到各国，耶路撒冷必被外族人践踏，直到外族人的日期满足。

我捣碎他们，像风前的尘土，我倾倒他们，像街上的烂泥。

耶和华啊！你增添国民；你增添国民，你得了荣耀，又拓展了地的四境。

我原想：“我要把他们分散到各处，把他们的名号都从人间除灭。”

“嗨！嗨！你们要从北方之地逃走（这是耶和华的宣告），因为我过去曾把你们分散在天的四方。”这是耶和华的宣告。

万军之耶和华说：“看哪！那日来到，像烧着的火炉一样；骄傲的和作恶的，都必成为碎秸；那要来的日子，必把他们烧尽，不给他们留下一根一枝。

愿他们像风前的糠秕，有耶和华的使者驱逐他们。

于是铁、泥、铜、银、金都一同砸得粉碎，好像夏天禾场上的糠秕，被风吹散，无处可寻；那打碎这像的石头却变成一座大山，充满全地。
