You save the humble, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.

You save those who aren’t proud. But you watch the proud to bring them down.

You save a humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down.

You rescue the humble, but your eyes watch the proud and humiliate them.

You rescue an oppressed people, but your eyes are set against the proud— you humble them.

And You save an afflicted people; But Your eyes are on the haughty whom You humiliate.

You will save the humble people; But Your eyes are on the haughty, that You may bring them down.

And the afflicted people thou wilt save; But thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.

You rescue an afflicted people, but Your eyes are set against the proud— You humble them.

You deliver oppressed people, but you watch the proud and bring them down.

For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. (niv)

So people will be brought low and everyone humbled, the eyes of the arrogant humbled. (niv)

The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled and human pride brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted( and they will be humbled), (niv)

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (niv)

The Lord said,“ I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy. (niv)

Haughty eyes and a proud heart— the unplowed field of the wicked— produce sin. (niv)

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me. (niv)

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. (niv)

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. (niv)

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly.” (niv)

Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low,look at all who are proud and humble them, crush the wicked where they stand. (niv)
