With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful,[ and] with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.

You prove to be loyal to one who is faithful; you prove to be trustworthy to one who is innocent.

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.

God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.
