他叱責着海，使海枯乾，使一切江河乾涸。巴珊和迦密的樹林衰殘消損；利巴嫩的花苞也衰萎零落。

永恆主啊，你騎着你的馬，乘着你的得勝車之時，難道是惱怒江河？抑或向着江河發怒？向着大海洩憤？你把你的弓都剝光了弓衣，把你的箭袋飽裝着箭桿，（細拉）你就使大地裂開為江河。諸山一見了你、就翻騰；怒沖沖的水橫流而過；深淵發出其聲音，山丘高舉其手臂。

在他鼻孔裏有煙往上冒，從他口中有火焚燒着；連炭也因而着起來。

摩西向海伸手，永恆主便終夜用極強的東風使海退去；他使海成了旱地；水也裂開了。以色列人下海中、在乾地上走；水在他們左右兩邊就像牆一樣。埃及人直追趕着：法老所有的馬匹和車輛馬兵、都跟着以色列人下海中去。晨更時候，永恆主在火柱雲柱中往下眺望埃及人的營，就使埃及人的營潰亂了。又纏住他們的車輪，使車行走重難，以致埃及人說：『我們從以色列人面前逃跑吧；因為永恆主為他們爭戰、攻打埃及人了。』永恆主對摩西說：『你向海伸手，叫水回到埃及人身上、到他們的車輛和馬兵身上。』摩西就向海伸手；天快亮時候，海水回到原流的分量；埃及人逆流逃跑，永恆主把埃及人都抖在海中。

他叱責了蘆葦海，海便乾了；他就領了他們經過深處，如過牧野。

說：「你只可到這裏，不可再進；你狂傲的波浪到這裏要止息住』？

洋海看見就奔逃，約但河也倒流。大山踴躍如公羊，小山蹦跳如羊仔兒。洋海啊，你為甚麼奔逃？約但河啊，你為甚麼倒流？大山哪，你為甚麼踴躍如公羊？小山哪，你為甚麼蹦跳如羊仔兒？大地啊，你在主面前要打滾；在雅各的上帝面前要舞蹈。

你發鼻孔中之氣，水便堆積起來；河流直立如壘；深淵凝結於海中心。仇敵說：「我要追趕，我要趕上；我要分擄物；我要拿住他們，來滿足心願。我要拔出刀來，親手趕滅他們。」但你一吹氣，海就淹沒他們，他們就像鉛沉沒於壯闊水中。

上帝啊，你為甚麼永久屏棄我們？為甚麼向你牧養的羊冒煙發怒呢？

永恆主啊，你的叱責一發，你鼻孔的氣息一呼出，海底就出現，大地的根基也現露。他從高天伸手拿住我；把我從大水中拉上來。他援救了我脫離我的勁敵、脫離恨我的人；因為他們比我強盛。

耶穌對他們說：『小信的人哪，為甚麼膽怯？』便起來，斥責風和海，就大大平靜了。那些人都希奇說：『這是甚麼樣的人啊？連風跟海也聽從他！』
