他斥责海，使海干了，使一切江河干涸。巴珊和迦密的树林衰残；黎巴嫩的花草也衰残了。

耶和华啊，你乘在马上，坐在得胜的车上，岂是不喜悦江河、向江河发怒气、向洋海发愤恨吗？你的弓全然显露，向众支派所起的誓都是可信的。（细拉）你以江河分开大地。山岭见你，无不战惧；大水泛滥过去，深渊发声，汹涌翻腾。

从他鼻孔冒烟上腾；从他口中发火焚烧，连炭也着了。

摩西向海伸杖，耶和华便用大东风，使海水一夜退去，水便分开，海就成了干地。以色列人下海中走干地，水在他们的左右作了墙垣。埃及人追赶他们，法老一切的马匹、车辆，和马兵都跟着下到海中。到了晨更的时候，耶和华从云火柱中向埃及的军兵观看，使埃及的军兵混乱了；又使他们的车轮脱落，难以行走，以致埃及人说：“我们从以色列人面前逃跑吧！因耶和华为他们攻击我们了。”耶和华对摩西说：“你向海伸杖，叫水仍合在埃及人并他们的车辆、马兵身上。”摩西就向海伸杖，到了天一亮，海水仍旧复原。埃及人避水逃跑的时候，耶和华把他们推翻在海中，

并且斥责红海，海便干了；他带领他们经过深处，如同经过旷野。

说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。’

沧海看见就奔逃；约旦河也倒流。大山踊跃，如公羊；小山跳舞，如羊羔。沧海啊，你为何奔逃？约旦哪，你为何倒流？大山哪，你为何踊跃，如公羊？小山哪，你为何跳舞，如羊羔？大地啊，你因见主的面，就是雅各神的面，便要震动。

你发鼻中的气，水便聚起成堆，大水直立如垒，海中的深水凝结。仇敌说：‘我要追赶，我要追上，我要分掳物，我要在他们身上称我的心愿。我要拔出刀来，亲手杀灭他们。’你叫风一吹，海就把他们淹没；他们如铅沉在大水之中。

神啊，你为何永远丢弃我们呢？你为何向你草场的羊发怒，如烟冒出呢？

耶和华啊，你的斥责一发，你鼻孔的气一出，海底就出现，大地的根基也显露。他从高天伸手抓住我，把我从大水中拉上来。他救我脱离我的劲敌和那些恨我的人，因为他们比我强盛。

耶稣说：“你们这小信的人哪，为什么胆怯呢？”于是起来，斥责风和海，风和海就大大地平静了。众人希奇，说：“这是怎样的人？连风和海也听从他了！”
