He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.

He got on the cherubim and flew. The wings of the wind lifted him up.

He rode on a cherub and flew; he was seen on the wings of the wind.

Mounted on a mighty angelic being, he flew, soaring on the wings of the wind.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth!

The Lord reigns; Let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; Let the earth be moved!

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from there the ark of the covenant of the Lord of hosts, who dwells between the cherubim. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said,“ Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in as I watched.Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court.Then the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub, and paused over the threshold of the temple; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like the voice of Almighty God when He speaks.Then it happened, when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying,“ Take fire from among the wheels, from among the cherubim,” that he went in and stood beside the wheels.And the cherub stretched out his hand from among the cherubim to the fire that was among the cherubim, and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed with linen, who took it and went out.The cherubim appeared to have the form of a man’s hand under their wings.And when I looked, there were four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by one cherub and another wheel by each other cherub; the wheels appeared to have the color of a beryl stone.As for their appearance, all four looked alike— as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.When they went, they went toward any of their four directions; they did not turn aside when they went, but followed in the direction the head was facing. They did not turn aside when they went.And their whole body, with their back, their hands, their wings, and the wheels that the four had, were full of eyes all around.As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing,“ Wheel.”Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side;

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.

If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat.
