After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy.Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow.Then I called on the name of the Lord:“ Please, Lord, save me!”How kind the Lord is! How good he is! David now stayed in the strongholds of the wilderness and in the hill country of Ziph. Saul hunted him day after day, but God didn’t let Saul find him.

But David kept thinking to himself,“ Someday Saul is going to get me. The best thing I can do is escape to the Philistines. Then Saul will stop hunting for me in Israelite territory, and I will finally be safe.”

Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

“ Even when you are chased by those who seek to kill you, your life is safe in the care of the Lord your God, secure in his treasure pouch! But the lives of your enemies will disappear like stones shot from a sling!

The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

May the Lord therefore judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my advocate, and he will rescue me from your power!”
