He delivered us from so great a risk of death, and he will deliver us. We have set our hope on him that he will deliver us yet again,

I love the LORD because he heard my plea for mercy,and listened to me. As long as I live, I will call to him when I need help.The ropes of death tightened around me, the snares of Sheol confronted me. David stayed in the strongholds that were in the desert and in the hill country of the desert of Ziph. Saul looked for him all the time, but God did not deliver David into his hand.

David thought to himself,“ One of these days I’m going to be swept away by the hand of Saul! There is nothing better for me than to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will despair of searching for me through all the territory of Israel and I will escape from his hand.”

The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever! Amen.

When someone sets out to chase you and to take your life, the life of my lord will be wrapped securely in the bag of the living by the LORD your God. But he will sling away the lives of your enemies from the sling’s pocket!

The godly face many dangers, but the LORD saves them from each one of them.

May the LORD be our judge and arbiter. May he see and arbitrate my case and deliver me from your hands!”
