王顧惜掃羅的孫子，約拿單的兒子米非波設，因為在大衛和掃羅的兒子約拿單之間，有指着耶和華的誓言。

王因为曾与扫罗的儿子约拿单指着耶和华起誓结盟，就爱惜扫罗的孙子、约拿单的儿子米非波设，不交出来，

王顾惜扫罗的孙子，约拿单的儿子米非波设，因为在大卫和扫罗的儿子约拿单之间，有指着耶和华的誓言。

大卫王因为与扫罗的儿子约拿单在耶和华面前起过誓，就没有把扫罗的孙子、约拿单的儿子米非波设交出来。

王顾惜扫罗的孙子、约拿单的儿子米非波设，因为大卫与扫罗的儿子约拿单，曾经在耶和华面前有过誓约。

王因為在他們之間、在大衛與掃羅的兒子約拿單之間、有指着永恆主而起誓的約，就顧惜掃羅的孫子、約拿單的兒子、米非波設，不交出來，

王顧惜掃羅的孫子、約拿單的兒子米非波設，因為大衛和掃羅的兒子約拿單在耶和華面前起過誓。

王矜恤掃羅孫約拿單子米非波設、因昔與掃羅子約拿單指主發誓立盟、

The king spared Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the oath before the Lord between David and Jonathan son of Saul.

The king spared Mephibosheth. He was the son of Jonathan and the grandson of Saul. David had made a promise in front of the Lord. He had promised to be kind to Jonathan and the family line of his father Saul.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Saul’s son Jonathan, because of the oath of the Lord that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

The king spared Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth, who was Saul’s grandson, because of the oath David and Jonathan had sworn before the Lord.

David spared Mephibosheth, the son of Saul’s son Jonathan, because of the oath of the LORD that was between David and Jonathan, Saul’s son.

就是耶和華從地面逐一剪除大衛仇敵的時候，你也永不可向我家斷絕恩惠。」

於是二人在耶和華面前立約。大衛仍住在樹林裏，約拿單就回家去了。

求你施恩於僕人，因你在耶和華面前曾與僕人立約。我若有罪孽，你就親自殺死我，何必把我交給你父親呢？」

約拿單愛大衛如同愛自己的性命，就與他立約。

掃羅的兒子約拿單有一個兒子，名叫米非波設，是瘸腿的。掃羅和約拿單的消息從耶斯列傳來的時候，他才五歲。他的奶媽抱着他逃跑；因為跑得太急，孩子掉在地上，腿就瘸了。

約拿單對大衛說：「你平平安安地去吧！因為我們二人曾指着耶和華的名起誓說：『願耶和華在你我中間，以及你我後裔中間作證，直到永遠。』」大衛就起身走了，約拿單也回城裏去了。

你、你的眾子和僕人要為你主人的兒子耕種田地，把所收穫的拿來供他食用；你主人的兒子米非波設卻要常與我同席吃飯。」洗巴有十五個兒子和二十個僕人。

約拿單因愛大衛如同愛自己的性命，就叫他再起誓。

王對洗巴說：「看哪，凡屬米非波設的都是你的了。」洗巴說：「我叩拜我主我王，願我在你眼前蒙恩寵。」

他來迎接王的時候，王對他說：「米非波設，你為甚麼沒有與我同去呢？」

大衛對他說：「你不要懼怕，我必因你父親約拿單的緣故向你施恩，把你祖父掃羅的一切田地都歸還你，你也可以常與我同席吃飯。」
