願以其後裔七人付於我、我將懸之於主前、在基比亞、即昔蒙主選掃羅之邑、王曰、我必付於爾、

let seven of his male descendants be given to us to be killed and their bodies exposed before the Lord at Gibeah of Saul— the Lord’s chosen one.” So the king said,“ I will give them to you.”

So let seven of the males in his family line be given to us. We’ll kill them. We’ll put their dead bodies out in the open in the sight of the Lord. We’ll do it at Gibeah of Saul. Saul was the Lord’ s chosen king.” So King David said,“ I’ll give seven males to you.”

let seven of his sons be given to us, so that we may hang them before the Lord at Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the Lord.” And the king said,“ I will give them.”

So let seven of Saul’s sons be handed over to us, and we will execute them before the Lord at Gibeon, on the mountain of the Lord.”“ All right,” the king said,“ I will do it.”

撒母耳對眾百姓說：「你們看到了耶和華所揀選的人嗎？眾百姓中沒有人可以與他相比。」眾百姓就歡呼說：「願王萬歲！」

掃羅也往基比亞自己的家去，有一羣心中被神感動的勇士跟隨他。

耶和華對摩西說：「拿下百姓中所有的領袖，對着太陽把他們懸掛在我面前，使我向以色列所發的怒氣可以平息。」於是摩西對以色列的審判官說：「你們的人若有與巴力‧毗珥聯合的，你們各人就要把他們殺了。」

使者到了掃羅住的基比亞，把這事說給百姓聽，眾百姓就都放聲大哭。

隨後，約書亞把這五個王殺死，掛在五棵樹上。他們就被掛在樹上，直到晚上。

三天之內，法老要讓你抬起頭來，身首異處，把你掛在木架上，必有飛鳥來吃你身上的肉。」

他把艾城的王掛在樹上，直到晚上。日落的時候，約書亞吩咐人把屍首從樹上取下來，丟在城門口，並在屍首上堆了一大堆石頭，直存到今日。

「明日這時候，我必使一個人從便雅憫地到你這裏來，你要膏他作我百姓以色列的君王。他必救我的百姓脫離非利士人的手，因為我眷顧我的百姓，他們的哀聲已上達於我。」撒母耳看見掃羅的時候，耶和華對他說：「看哪，這就是我對你所說的人，他必治理我的百姓。」

猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裏，出去吊死了。

這十人都是哈米大他的孫子，猶太人的仇敵哈曼的兒子。猶太人卻沒有下手奪取財物。

以斯帖說：「王若以為好，求你允准書珊的猶太人，明日也照今日的諭旨去做，並把哈曼十個兒子的屍體掛在木架上。」王允准這麼做。敕令傳遍書珊，哈曼十個兒子的屍體被掛了起來。

撒母耳拿一瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，親吻他，說：「耶和華豈不是膏你作他產業的君王嗎？

有個人看見，就告訴約押說：「看哪，我看見押沙龍掛在橡樹上了。」

亞希多弗見他的計謀不被接納，就備上驢，動身歸回本城，到了自己的家。他留下遺囑給他的家，就上吊死了，葬在他父親的墳墓裏。

我再降旨，無論誰更改這命令，必從他房屋中拆出一根梁木，把他舉起，懸在其上，又使他的房屋為此成為糞堆。

「人若犯了死罪被處死，你把他掛在木頭上，

從那時起，他們要求立一個王，神就將便雅憫支派中基士的兒子掃羅給他們作王，共四十年。

卻把司膳長掛起來，正如約瑟向他們所講解的。
