And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the Lord, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.”So Moses said to the judges of Israel,“ Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.”

So the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and told the news in the hearing of the people. And all the people lifted up their voices and wept.

And afterward Joshua struck them and killed them, and hanged them on five trees; and they were hanging on the trees until evening.

Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.”
