Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong.

“ Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one.

Without being stabbed again, Amasa died. Then Joab and his brother Abishai pursued Sheba son of Bikri.

You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light.
