大衛就照著耶和華所吩咐的去做，擊殺非利士人，從迦巴直到基色。

難道你不知道嗎？難道你沒有聽過嗎？永恆的神耶和華——創造地極的主，他不疲倦，也不困乏；他的聰慧無法測度。疲乏的，他賜力量；無力的，他加能力。少年人也會疲倦困乏，青年人也會全然絆倒，

我的肉體和我的心都在衰竭，但神是我心裡的力量，是我繼業的份，直到永遠。

神哪，縱然到我年老髮白的時候，你也不要離棄我，直到我向這世代宣告你的能力，向後世所有的人宣告你的大能！

因為，「所有的人都像草一樣，他們的一切榮耀就像草上的花；草會枯乾，花會凋謝，但主的話卻永遠長存。」所傳給你們的福音就是這話。
