牲口哀鳴着，牛羣滿處亂竄，因為找不到草場；羊羣也餓得發獃。

『錫安的子民哪，要快樂，要靠着永恆主你們的上帝來歡喜；因為他賜給你們秋霖以顯義氣，他給你們降下甘霖，就是秋霖春雨、像先前一樣。

外國人虛無的神之中有能降霖雨的麼？天能自降甘霖麼？能如此的豈不是你、永恆主我們的上帝麼？所以我們仍等候着你，因為是你行了這一切事。

三天之內，法老必將你的頭提起離開你身上，把你掛在木頭上：必有飛鳥從你身上喫你的肉。』

他們心裏也不說：「我們應當敬畏永恆主我們的上帝：他按時賜霖雨，就是秋霖春雨；又為我們存着收割的制定節令。」你們的罪孽將這些事推開了；你們的罪攔阻了你們得福利。
