我们务要认识耶和华，竭力追求认识他。他出现确如晨光；他必临到我们像甘雨，像滋润田地的春雨。

以利亚对亚哈说：“你现在可以上去吃喝，因为有多雨的响声了。”亚哈就上去吃喝。以利亚上了迦密山顶，屈身在地，将脸伏在两膝之中；对仆人说：“你上去，向海观看。”仆人就上去观看，说：“没有什么。”他说：“你再去观看。”如此七次。第七次仆人说：“我看见有一小片云从海里上来，不过如人手那样大。”以利亚说：“你上去告诉亚哈，当套车下去，免得被雨阻挡。”霎时间，天因风云黑暗，降下大雨。亚哈就坐车往耶斯列去了。

牲畜哀鸣；牛群混乱，因为无草；羊群也受了困苦。

“锡安的民哪，你们要快乐，为耶和华你们的神欢喜；因他赐给你们合宜的秋雨，为你们降下甘霖，就是秋雨、春雨，和先前一样。

外邦人虚无的神中有能降雨的吗？天能自降甘霖吗？耶和华我们的神啊，能如此的不是你吗？所以，我们仍要等候你，因为这一切都是你所造的。

三天之内，法老必斩断你的头，把你挂在木头上，必有飞鸟来吃你身上的肉。”

心内也不说：‘我们应当敬畏耶和华我们的神；他按时赐雨，就是秋雨春雨，又为我们定收割的节令，永存不废。’你们的罪孽使这些事转离你们；你们的罪恶使你们不能得福。
