要在春季向耶和華求雨。祂創造雷雨，為世人降下甘霖，使田間長出青翠之物。

換掉被俘時所穿的衣服，住在那人家中為她父母哀悼一個月。之後，那人便可以和她結為夫妻。

又說：「你過來，我要把你的肉丟給天上的飛禽和地上的走獸。」

你和你的軍隊以及與你同來的各國聯軍都要倒斃在以色列的山嶺上，我要把你們的屍體給各種猛禽野獸作食物。

亞哈聽了以利亞的話，就撕裂衣服，披麻禁食，睡覺也不脫下麻衣，垂頭喪氣地走來走去。

祂就會按時降下秋雨和春雨，使你們收穫穀物、新酒和油，

以利亞對亞哈說：「你去吃喝吧，因為我已聽見大雨將臨的聲音。」亞哈就去吃喝。以利亞上到迦密山頂，跪在地上，臉伏在雙膝之間。他吩咐僕人：「你去向海的方向觀看。」僕人就去觀看，然後說：「什麼也沒有。」以利亞又讓他去觀看，前後共七次。第七次，僕人說：「我看見一朵手掌那麼大的雲從海裡升起來了。」以利亞便吩咐他：「你去告訴亞哈，叫他套車下山，免得被雨阻擋。」霎時間，天上烏雲密佈，狂風大作，下起大雨。亞哈坐著馬車回耶斯列。

牲畜哀鳴，牛群因找不到草場而四處亂竄，羊群也受苦。

錫安的人民啊，你們應當歡喜快樂，從你們的上帝耶和華那裡得到喜樂。因為祂按時降下甘霖，像從前一樣賜給你們秋雨、春雨。

在列國供奉的偶像中，誰能賜下雨水呢？天能自降甘霖嗎？我們的上帝耶和華啊，難道不是只有你能行這些事嗎？是你賜雨水降甘霖，所以我們仰望你。

三天之內，法老必砍下你的頭，把你掛在木頭上，鳥要來吃你的肉。」

你們心中從未說，我們要敬畏我們的上帝耶和華，祂按時降下秋雨和春雨，讓我們按時收割。你們的罪過使你們不再風調雨順，你們的罪惡使你們失去祝福。』
