That’s not my purpose. All I want is a man named Sheba son of Bicri from the hill country of Ephraim, who has revolted against King David. If you hand over this one man to me, I will leave the town in peace.”“ All right,” the woman replied,“ we will throw his head over the wall to you.”

He said,“ All is well. My master has sent me, saying,‘ Behold, even now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of clothing.’”

For a voice declares from Dan, and publishes evil from the hills of Ephraim:

Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. He lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.

There happened to be there a wicked fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite; and he blew the trumpet, and said,“ We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to his tents, Israel!”

They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

Your way in which you go is before Yahweh.”Then the five men departed and came to Laish and saw the people who were there, how they lived in safety, in the way of the Sidonians, quiet and secure; for there was no one in the land possessing authority, that might put them to shame in anything, and they were far from the Sidonians, and had no dealings with anyone else.They came to their brothers at Zorah and Eshtaol; and their brothers asked them,“ What do you say?”
