So every man of Israel went up from after David,[ and] followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.

於是以色列人不從大衛、而從比基利子示巴、惟猶大人自約但至耶路撒冷、附於其王、○

於是以色列族不從大闢、群從示巴。惟猶大人恆從大闢、自約但擁護至耶路撒冷、

於是以色列人皆離大衛、從比基利子示巴、惟猶大人不離其王、自約但至耶路撒冷、

So all the men of Israel deserted David to follow Sheba son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed by their king all the way from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David. They followed Sheba, the son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king. They remained with him from the Jordan River all the way to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel withdrew from David and followed Sheba the son of Bichri. But the men of Judah followed their king steadfastly from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David and followed Sheba son of Bicri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king and escorted him from the Jordan River to Jerusalem.

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

From that[ time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

The beginning of strife[ is as] when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with.

Surely men of low degree[ are] vanity,[ and] men of high degree[ are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they[ are] altogether[ lighter] than vanity.

[ It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.[ It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David’s men with him, over Jordan?

But[ as for] the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
