So all the men of Israel deserted David to follow Sheba son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed by their king all the way from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David. They followed Sheba, the son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king. They remained with him from the Jordan River all the way to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel withdrew from David and followed Sheba the son of Bichri. But the men of Judah followed their king steadfastly from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David and followed Sheba son of Bicri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king and escorted him from the Jordan River to Jerusalem.

他到了那裡，看見神所施的恩，就很歡喜，勸勉眾人堅心靠主。

從此，他的門徒中有許多人退去了，不再與他同行。於是耶穌對十二門徒說：“你們也想離去嗎？”西門．彼得回答：“主啊，你有永生之道，我們還跟從誰呢？

王就回來，到了約旦河。猶大人也來到吉甲，要去迎接王，接王過約旦河。

紛爭的開始，如同決堤的水；所以在爭執發生以前，就要制止。

卑賤的人真是虛空，高貴的人也是虛假，放在天平上就必升起；他們加在一起比空氣還輕。

投靠耶和華，勝過倚靠人。投靠耶和華，勝過倚靠王子。列國圍困著我，我靠著耶和華的名必除滅他們。

王過了河，到了吉甲，金罕也與王一同渡河。所有的猶大人和半數以色列人，也都與王一同渡河。以色列眾人都來見王，問王說：“我們的兄弟猶大人為甚麼把你偷去了，把王和王的家眷接過約旦河呢？屬大衛的人不都一樣是他的人民嗎？”

只有那些住在猶大眾城鎮的以色列人，羅波安仍然作他們的王。
