Now a troublemaker named Sheba son of Bikri, a Benjamite, happened to be there. He sounded the trumpet and shouted,“ We have no share in David, no part in Jesse’s son! Every man to his tent, Israel!”

An evil man who always stirred up trouble happened to be in Gilgal. His name was Sheba, the son of Bikri. Sheba was from the tribe of Benjamin. He blew his trumpet. Then he shouted,“ We don’t have any share in David’s kingdom! Jesse’s son is not our king! Men of Israel, every one of you go back home!”

Now there happened to be there a worthless man, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite. And he blew the trumpet and said,“ We have no portion in David, and we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse; every man to his tents, O Israel!”

There happened to be a troublemaker there named Sheba son of Bicri, a man from the tribe of Benjamin. Sheba blew a ram’s horn and began to chant:“ Down with the dynasty of David! We have no interest in the son of Jesse. Come on, you men of Israel, back to your homes!”

Now a wicked man, a Benjaminite named Sheba son of Bichri, happened to be there. He blew the ram’s horn and shouted: We have no portion in David, no inheritance in Jesse’s son. Each man to his tent, Israel!

Now a worthless man happened to be there whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite; and he blew the trumpet and said,“ We have no share in David, Nor do we have an inheritance in the son of Jesse; Every man to his tents, Israel!”

And there happened to be there a rebel, whose name was Sheba the son of Bichri, a Benjamite. And he blew a trumpet, and said:“ We have no share in David, Nor do we have inheritance in the son of Jesse; Every man to his tents, O Israel!”

And there happened to be there a base fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew the trumpet, and said, We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.

以色列众人见王不肯听从他们的请求，就回答王说：“我们在大卫里面有什么分呢？我们在耶西的儿子里面也没有产业；以色列人哪，回你们自己的家去吧！大卫啊，照顾你自己的家吧！”于是以色列人都回自己的家去了。

有些匪徒从你中间出来，把本城的居民引离，说：‘我们去事奉别的神吧。’那些神是你们素来不认识的；

以色列人见王不听他们的要求，就对王说：“我们和大卫有什么关系呢？我们和耶西的儿子并不相干。以色列人哪，各回各家去吧，大卫啊，现在只顾你自己的家吧。”于是全体以色列人都回自己的家去了。

罗波安王和一些在他父亲所罗门在世的时候，侍立在所罗门面前的老人商议，说：“你们有什么提议，我好回覆这班民众呢？”

耶和华啊！求你起来，迎面攻击他们，把他们打倒；用你的刀救我的命脱离恶人。

以色列众人都来见王，问王说：“我们的兄弟犹大人为什么把你偷去了，把王和王的家眷接过约旦河呢？属大卫的人不都一样是他的人民吗？”犹大众人回答以色列人说：“因为王与我们的关系亲密。你们为什么因这事而生气呢？我们从王那里得到什么吃的呢？或是他给了我们什么礼物呢？”以色列人回答犹大人说：“在王的事上，我们有十分的投入。在大卫身上，我们也与大卫比你们更有情分。你们为什么轻视我们呢？先说要请我们的王回来的，不是我们吗？”但是犹大人的话比以色列人的话更强硬。

扫罗就对侍立在他周围的臣仆说：“便雅悯人哪，你们要听！耶西的儿子能把田地和葡萄园赐给你们各人吗？他能立你们各人作千夫长、作百夫长吗？你们竟都同谋陷害我。我的儿子与耶西的儿子立盟约的时候，没有人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣仆陷害我，就像今天一样，你们中间也没有人关心我，告诉我。”

好争竞的人，煽动争端，就像余烬上加炭，火上加柴一样。

不可轻率出去与人争讼；否则，你的邻舍若使你受辱，结果你要怎么办呢？

流氓却像荆棘被丢弃，人不敢用手拿它。

耶和华我的神，我的圣者啊！你不是自古就有的吗？我们不会死的。耶和华啊！你派他们行审判。磐石啊！你立他们施惩罚。你的眼目纯洁，不看邪恶，不能坐视奸恶；为什么见行诡诈的人而不理？恶人吞灭比自己公义的人，你为什么缄默呢？

我儿，你要敬畏耶和华，也要尊敬君王；不要与叛逆的人结交。因为他们的刑罚必忽然临到；耶和华与君王要施行的毁灭，谁能晓得呢？

义人虽有许多苦难，但耶和华搭救他脱离这一切。

他们心里正畅快的时候，忽然城里有些无赖之徒，围绕房子，不住地敲门，对老房主说：“把进入你家的那个人带出来，我们要与他交合。”

以利的两个儿子是无赖，不尊重耶和华，

押沙龙派遣探子到以色列的各支派中，说：“你们一听见号角的声音，就说：‘押沙龙在希伯仑作王了！’”

他去到以后，就在以法莲山地吹角；以色列人与他一同从山地上下来，他走在他们前头，

他本国的人却恨他，就派使者跟着去说：‘我们不愿意这个人作王统治我们。’

与大卫一起去的那些人中，有些恶人和流氓说：“他们没有和我们一起去，我们就不把夺回来的战利品分给他们，只把他们各人的妻子和儿子还给他们，让他们领回去就是了。”

至于我那些仇敌，就是不愿意我作王统治他们的，把他们拉到这里来，在我面前杀掉！’”
