今爾主王掃羅已終、猶大族已膏我立為其王、爾亦當堅志爾亦當堅志或作爾曹勿怯為豪傑、○

Now then, be strong and brave, for Saul your master is dead, and the people of Judah have anointed me king over them.”

他们所有的勇士就连夜赶到伯·珊，从墙上取下扫罗和他儿子们的尸体，带到雅比火化，

你们要警醒，在信仰上坚定不移，做勇敢刚强的人。

这些事以后，耶和华在异象中对亚伯兰说：“亚伯兰，你不用害怕，我是你的盾牌，我要大大赏赐你。”

平原一带和约旦河对面的以色列人见以色列军败逃、扫罗及其众子已死，都弃城而逃。于是，非利士人占据了那些城邑。

最后，你们要靠着主和祂的大能大力做刚强的人，

非利士人啊，要刚强，做大丈夫。不然，我们就会成为希伯来人的奴隶，像他们做我们的奴隶一样。我们要做大丈夫，奋力征战。”

我们要刚强，为我们的人民和我们上帝的城邑而奋勇作战。愿耶和华成全祂自己的旨意！”
