The three sons of Zeruiah were there: Joab, Abishai and Asahel. Now Asahel was as fleet-footed as a wild gazelle.

The three sons of Zeruiah were there. Their names were Joab, Abishai and Asahel. Asahel was as quick on his feet as a wild antelope.

And the three sons of Zeruiah were there, Joab, Abishai, and Asahel. Now Asahel was as swift of foot as a wild gazelle.

Joab, Abishai, and Asahel— the three sons of Zeruiah— were among David’s forces that day. Asahel could run like a gazelle,

迦得支派中，有些人走到旷野的山寨去投奔大卫，他们都是英勇的战士，善于作战，能使用盾牌和长枪；他们的面貌好像狮子，他们敏捷得好像山上的羚羊。

主耶和华是我的力量，他使我的脚快如母鹿的蹄，在高地上行走。交诗班长，用丝弦的乐器伴奏。

我的良人哪！愿你快来，像羚羊或小鹿，在香草山上！

我的良人啊！等到天起凉风，日影消逝的时候，愿你归来，好像崎岖山上的羚羊或是小鹿。

他使我的脚像母鹿的蹄，又使我站稳在高处。

我又看见在日光之下，跑得快的未必得奖，勇士未必战胜，智慧的未必得粮食，精明的未必致富，博学的未必得人赏识，因为时机和际遇左右众人。

行动迅速的不能逃走，强而有力的不能施展他的勇力，勇士也不能救自己；

军中勇士有约押的兄弟亚撒黑、伯利恒人朵多的儿子伊勒哈难、

扫罗和约拿单，生时相亲相爱，死时也不分离。他们比鹰还快速，比狮子更勇猛。

他喜欢的不是马的力大，他喜悦的不是人的腿快。耶和华喜悦敬畏他的人，喜悦仰望他慈爱的人。

大卫问赫人亚希米勒和洗鲁雅的儿子约押的兄弟亚比筛，说：“谁愿与我一起下到扫罗的营里去呢？”亚比筛回答：“我愿与你一起下去。”

六子阿鲜、七子大卫。他们的姊妹是洗鲁雅和亚比该。洗鲁雅的儿子是亚比筛、约押和亚撒黑，共三人。
