It happened after this that David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him,“ Go up.” David said,“ Where shall I go up?” And He said,“ To Hebron.”

In the course of time, David inquired of the Lord.“ Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?” he asked. The Lord said,“ Go up.” David asked,“ Where shall I go?”“ To Hebron,” the Lord answered.

After Saul and Jonathan died, David asked the Lord for advice.“ Should I go up to one of the towns of Judah?” he asked. The Lord said,“ Go up.” David asked,“ Where should I go?”“ To Hebron,” the Lord answered.

After this David inquired of the Lord,“ Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him,“ Go up.” David said,“ To which shall I go up?” And he said,“ To Hebron.”

After this, David asked the Lord,“ Should I move back to one of the towns of Judah?”“ Yes,” the Lord replied. Then David asked,“ Which town should I go to?”“ To Hebron,” the Lord answered.

Some time later, David inquired of the LORD:“ Should I go to one of the towns of Judah?” The LORD answered him,“ Go.” Then David asked,“ Where should I go?”“ To Hebron,” the LORD replied.

Then it came about afterward that David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up to one of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him,“ Go up.” So David said,“ Where shall I go up?” And He said,“ To Hebron.”

And it came to pass after this, that David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And Jehovah said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.

Some time later, David inquired of the Lord:“ Should I go to one of the towns of Judah?” The Lord answered him,“ Go.” Then David asked,“ Where should I go?”“ To Hebron,” the Lord replied.

And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.

Afterward David inquired of the LORD,“ Should I go up to one of the cities of Judah?” The LORD told him,“ Go up.” David asked,“ Where should I go?” The LORD replied,“ To Hebron.”

After this, David inquired of Yahweh, saying,“ Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah?” Yahweh said to him,“ Go up.” David said,“ Where shall I go up?” He said,“ To Hebron.”

Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah.”

Then David inquired of the Lord once again. And the Lord answered him and said,“ Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”Then David said,“ O Lord God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake.Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O Lord God of Israel, I pray, tell Your servant.” And the Lord said,“ He will come down.”Then David said,“ Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the Lord said,“ They will deliver you.”

Therefore David inquired of the Lord, and He said,“ You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

When Jacob saw them, he said,“ This is God’s camp.” And he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.

‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock.

Now it came to pass after forty years that Absalom said to the king,“ Please, let me go to Hebron and pay the vow which I made to the Lord.

He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him— all the congregation.”

Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying,“ Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?”

Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

And they anointed David king over Israel.

Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son,“ Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him,“ Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.

So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.And the name of Hebron formerly was Kirjath Arba( Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim). Then the land had rest from war.

They gave for the work of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

The period that David reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.

And they went up through the South and came to Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there.( Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
