此后，大卫攻打非利士人，把他们治服，从他们手下夺取了京城的权柄；又攻打摩押人，使他们躺卧在地上，用绳量一量：量二绳的杀了，量一绳的存留。摩押人就归服大卫，给他进贡。琐巴王利合的儿子哈大底谢往大河去，要夺回他的国权。大卫就攻打他，擒拿了他的马兵一千七百，步兵二万，将拉战车的马砍断蹄筋，但留下一百辆车的马。大马士革的亚兰人来帮助琐巴王哈大底谢，大卫就杀了亚兰人二万二千。于是大卫在大马士革的亚兰地设立防营，亚兰人就归服他，给他进贡。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。他夺了哈大底谢臣仆所拿的金盾牌，带到耶路撒冷。大卫王又从属哈大底谢的比他和比罗他城中夺取了许多的铜。哈马王陀以听见大卫杀败哈大底谢的全军，就打发他儿子约兰去见大卫王，问他的安，为他祝福，因为他杀败了哈大底谢。原来陀以与哈大底谢常常争战。约兰带了金银铜的器皿来，大卫王将这些器皿和他治服各国所得来的金银都分别为圣，献给耶和华，就是从亚兰、摩押、亚扪、非利士、亚玛力人所得来的，以及从琐巴王利合的儿子哈大底谢所掠之物。大卫在盐谷击杀了亚兰一万八千人回来，就得了大名；又在以东全地设立防营，以东人就都归服大卫。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。 (cunps)

扫罗说：“你们要对大卫这样说：‘王不要什么聘礼，只要一百非利士人的阳皮，好在王的仇敌身上报仇。’”扫罗的意思要使大卫丧在非利士人的手里。 (cunps)

扫罗无论差遣大卫往何处去，他都做事精明。扫罗就立他作战士长，众百姓和扫罗的臣仆无不喜悦。大卫打死了那非利士人，同众人回来的时候，妇女们从以色列各城里出来，欢欢喜喜，打鼓击磬，歌唱跳舞，迎接扫罗王。众妇女舞蹈唱和，说：“扫罗杀死千千，大卫杀死万万。” (cunps)

那人说：“你所赐给我、与我同居的女人，她把那树上的果子给我，我就吃了。”耶和华神对女人说：“你做的是什么事呢？”女人说：“那蛇引诱我，我就吃了。” (cunps)

你们心里若怀着苦毒的嫉妒和纷争，就不可自夸，也不可说谎话抵挡真道。这样的智慧不是从上头来的，乃是属地的，属情欲的，属鬼魔的。在何处有嫉妒、纷争，就在何处有扰乱和各样的坏事。 (cunps)

他拚命杀那非利士人，耶和华为以色列众人大行拯救；那时你看见，甚是欢喜，现在为何无故要杀大卫，流无辜人的血，自己取罪呢？” (cunps)

我对他们说：‘凡有金环的可以摘下来’，他们就给了我。我把金环扔在火中，这牛犊便出来了。” (cunps)

这样，大卫用机弦甩石，胜了那非利士人，打死他；大卫手中却没有刀。 (cunps)

大卫来到巴力毗拉心，在那里击杀非利士人，说：“耶和华在我面前冲破敌人，如同水冲去一般。”因此称那地方为巴力毗拉心。 (cunps)
