Let your servant return, that I may die in my own town near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever you wish.”

你當恩待基列人巴西萊的眾兒子，請他們常與你同席吃飯，因為我躲避你哥哥押沙龍的時候，他們親近我。

帶到靠近伯利恆的基羅特金罕住下，要到埃及去，

王渡過去，到了吉甲，金罕也跟他過去。猶大眾百姓和以色列百姓的一半也都送王過去。

至於我，我已經被澆獻，離世的時候到了。

我與我祖先同睡的時候，你要將我帶出埃及，把我葬在他們所葬的地方。」約瑟說：「我必遵照你的吩咐去做。」

「主啊，如今可以照你的話，容你的僕人安然去世；因為我的眼睛已經看見你的救恩，

反倒回來，在耶和華禁止你吃飯喝水的地方吃了飯喝了水，因此你的屍體必不得葬在你祖先的墳墓裏。』」

「看哪，我今日要走世人必走的路了。你們要一心一意知道，耶和華－你們上帝所應許要賜給你們的一切福氣，沒有一件落空，都應驗在你們身上了。

他又吩咐他們說：「我快要歸到我祖先那裏。你們要將我葬在赫人以弗崙田間的洞裏，與我的祖先在一處，就是在迦南地幔利對面的麥比拉田間的洞裏，那田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來作墳地的產業。亞伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉葬在那裏；以撒和他的妻子利百加也葬在那裏。我也在那裏葬了利亞。

因為知道我脫離這帳棚的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督所指示我的。

以色列又對約瑟說：「看哪，我快要死了，但上帝必與你們同在，領你們回到你們祖先之地。

他們把他送到迦南地，葬在幔利對面的麥比拉田間的洞裏；那田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來作墳地的產業。
