Let your servant return, that I may die in my own town near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever you wish.”

Let me go back home. Then I can die in my own town. I can be buried there in the tomb of my father and mother. But let Kimham take my place. Let him go across the river with you. Do for him whatever you wish.”

但是你要恩待基列人巴西萊的眾子，使他們與你同席吃飯，因為我逃避你哥哥押沙龍的時候，他們拿食物來迎接我。

他們去到伯利恆附近的基羅特金罕，停留在那裡，想要往埃及去，

王過了河，到了吉甲，金罕也與王一同渡河。所有的猶大人和半數以色列人，也都與王一同渡河。

我已經被澆奠；我離世的時候也到了。

我與我的祖先同睡的時候，你要把我從埃及帶出去，埋葬在他們的墓地裡。”約瑟說：“我必照著你的話去作。”

“主啊，現在照你的話，釋放僕人平平安安地去吧！因我的眼睛已經看見你的救恩，

反倒回來，在耶和華吩咐你不可吃飯喝水的地方，吃了飯喝了水，因此，你的屍體不能入葬你列祖的墳墓裡。’”

“看哪，我今天要走世人必經的路了。你們清清楚楚（“清清楚楚”原文作“一心一意”）知道耶和華你們的神應許賜福給你們的話，沒有一句落空；完全應驗在你們身上，沒有一句落空。

雅各又囑咐他們，對他們說：“我快要歸到我的親族那裡去，你們要把我埋葬在赫人以弗崙田間的洞裡，與我的祖先在一起。這個洞在迦南地，在幔利前面的麥比拉的田間。那地方原是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買下來作墳地的。他們在那裡埋葬了亞伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉；又在那裡埋葬了以撒和他的妻子利百加；我也在那裡埋葬了利亞。

因為我知道我離世（“離世”原文作“離開這帳棚”）的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督清楚指示我的。

以色列又對約瑟說：“看哪，我快要死了，但是神必與你們同在，必領你們回到你們祖先的土地去。

把雅各運到迦南地，葬在麥比拉田間的洞裡。那地方在幔利的前面，是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買下來作墳地的。
