All my grandfather’s descendants deserved nothing but death from my lord the king, but you gave your servant a place among those who eat at your table. So what right do I have to make any more appeals to the king?”

They were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, at the beginning of barley harvest.

David said to him,“ Don’t be afraid; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You will eat bread at my table continually.”He bowed down, and said,“ What is your servant, that you should look at such a dead dog as I am?”
