With him were a thousand Benjamites, along with Ziba, the steward of Saul’s household, and his fifteen sons and twenty servants. They rushed to the Jordan, where the king was.

There were 1,000 people from Benjamin with him. Ziba, the manager of Saul’s house, was with him too. And so were Ziba’s 15 sons and 20 servants. All of them rushed down to the Jordan River. That’s where the king was.

掃羅家有僕、名西巴、大闢王召之入見、問曰汝西巴乎。曰、是也。

大闢過山巔未遠、米非波設僕西巴、備二驢、載餅二百、葡萄乾一百穗、無花果一百方、酒一革囊、來迓。王曰、汝攜此何意。西巴曰、驢為王眷聚所乘、餅及無花果供給少者、所有之酒以飲行野困憊者。王曰、爾主之孫何在。曰、在耶路撒冷、彼曰、今日以色列族、必以祖之國祚、仍歸乎我。王曰、米非波設所有、必歸於爾。西巴拜謝曰、願於我主我王前、得沾恩寵。

對曰、我主我王歟、我既跛足、意欲備驢乘之、以赴王所、乃我僕欺我、謗我於我主我王前、惟我主我王、智若上帝之使、請爾任意以行。

爾與爾子爾僕、必耕其田、斂其所產、使爾主之孫有糧可食、爾主之孫米非波設必恆偕我宴飲。西巴有子十五人、僕眾二十人。
