你们又要对亚玛撒说：‘你不是我的骨肉至亲吗？我若不立你代替约押，在我面前作军队的元帅，愿神重重地惩罚我，并且加倍严厉地惩罚我。’”

也要对亚玛撒说：‘你不是我的骨肉吗？我若不立你替约押常作元帅，愿神重重地降罚与我！’”

你们要对亚玛撒说：‘你不是我的骨肉吗？我若不立你在我面前取代约押永久作元帅，愿上帝重重惩罚我！’”

你们要对亚玛撒说：‘你不是我的骨肉吗？我若不立你在我面前取代约押永久作元帅，愿神重重惩罚我！’”

你们也要对亚玛撒说，‘你是我的骨肉，要是我不立你为元帅取代约押，愿上帝重重地处罚我。’”

你們又要對亞瑪撒說：‘你不是我的骨肉至親嗎？我若不立你代替約押，在我面前作軍隊的元帥，願神重重地懲罰我，並且加倍嚴厲地懲罰我。’”

你們也要對亞瑪撒說：「你不是我的骨肉麼？我若不立你代替約押常在我面前做軍長，願永恆主這樣嚴厲地待我，並且加倍地嚴厲。」』

也要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉之親嗎？我如果不立你在我面前作元帥，終身替代約押，就願神處置我，重重地處置我！』」

亦告亞瑪撒曰、爾非我之骨肉乎、如爾不代約押為軍長、恆在我前、願上帝罰我維倍、

And say to Amasa,‘ Are you not my own flesh and blood? May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if you are not the commander of my army for life in place of Joab.’”

Say to Amasa,‘ Aren’t you my own flesh and blood? You will be the commander of my army for life in place of Joab. If that isn’t true, may God punish me greatly.’ ”

And say to Amasa,‘ Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me and more also, if you are not commander of my army from now on in place of Joab.’”

And David told them to tell Amasa,“ Since you are my own flesh and blood, like Joab, may God strike me and even kill me if I do not appoint you as commander of my army in his place.”

And tell Amasa,‘ Aren’t you my flesh and blood? May God punish me and do so severely if you don’t become commander of my army from now on instead of Joab!’”

And say to Amasa,‘ Are you not my bone and my flesh? May God do so to me, and more so, if you will not be commander of the army for me continually, in place of Joab.’ ”

And say to Amasa,‘ Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me continually in place of Joab.’”

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

And tell Amasa,‘ Aren’t you my flesh and blood? May God punish me and do so severely if you don’t become commander of the army from now on instead of Joab!’”

And say ye to Amasa,[ Art] thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

押沙龙派亚玛撒统率军队，取代约押。亚玛撒是以实玛利人（按照《马索拉文本》，“以实玛利人”作“以色列人”；现参照《七十士译本》的一些文本翻译；参代上2:17）以特拉的儿子。以特拉曾经与拿辖的女儿亚比该亲近过；亚比该和约押的母亲洗鲁雅是姊妹。

洗鲁雅的儿子约押作军队的统帅，亚希律的儿子约沙法作史官，

耶洗别就差派一个使者去见以利亚说：“明天这个时候，如果我不使你的性命，像那些人一样，愿神明惩罚我，并且加倍惩罚我。”

你死在哪里，我也要死在哪里，葬在哪里。除非死亡把你我分离；如果我离开你，愿耶和华加倍惩罚我。”

约押进了屋子去见王，说：“你所有的臣仆今天救了你的性命，和你儿女妻妾的性命，你今天却使他们满面羞愧；你爱那些恨你的，恨那些爱你的。因为你今天表明了你不重视将帅和臣仆；我今天才明白，如果押沙龙活着，我们大家都死去，你就欢喜了。现在请你起来，出去，说些安慰你仆人们的话。我指着耶和华起誓，如果你不出去，今夜就必没有一人留下来与你在一起。这祸患就比你从幼年到现在所遭受的一切祸患更厉害了。”

愿这流人血的罪归到约押的头上和他父亲的全家！又愿约押家不断有患血漏病的、长痲风的、拿拐杖的、倒毙在剑下的和缺乏粮食的。”因押尼珥在基遍的战场上，杀死了他们的兄弟亚撒黑，约押和他的兄弟亚比筛就杀了押尼珥。

约押对那向他报告的人说：“你既然看见了，为什么不当场把他击杀，落在地上呢？那样，我就赏赐你一百一十四克银子和一条腰带。”

当时，神的灵降在那三十个勇士的首领亚玛撒身上，他就说：“大卫啊，我们是来归从你；耶西的儿子啊，我们是来跟随你；愿你平平安安，愿帮助你的人也都平安，因为你的神帮助了你。”于是大卫收留了他们，立他们作军长。

他们的姊妹是洗鲁雅和亚比该。洗鲁雅的儿子是亚比筛、约押和亚撒黑，共三人。亚比该生亚玛撒；亚玛撒的父亲是以实玛利人益帖。
