David sent out his troops, a third under the command of Joab, a third under Joab’s brother Abishai son of Zeruiah, and a third under Ittai the Gittite. The king told the troops,“ I myself will surely march out with you.”

Then David sent out his troops in military groups. One group was under the command of Joab. Another was under Joab’s brother Abishai, the son of Zeruiah. The last was under Ittai, the Gittite. The king told the troops,“ You can be sure that I myself will march out with you.”

And David sent out the army, one third under the command of Joab, one third under the command of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, and one third under the command of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said to the men,“ I myself will also go out with you.”

And David sent forth the people, a third part under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.

第二天，扫罗把民众分成三队，在晨更的时候进入亚扪人的营地，击杀他们，直到白天最热的时候；残留的人都四散，甚至他们中间没有两人留在一起。

耶和华是我的光，是我的救恩，我还怕谁呢？耶和华是我一生的保障，我还惧怕谁呢？那些作恶者，就是我的敌人、我的仇敌，他们逼近我、要吞噬我肉体的时候，就绊跌、仆倒。尽管有军兵扎营攻击我，我的心也不害怕；尽管有战争兴起临到我，我依然无所畏惧。

耶和华在我这边，我就不害怕；人能对我做什么呢？耶和华在我这边，作我的帮助者，我就会看见那些恨我之人的下场。投靠耶和华，好过依靠人；

纵有万千民众四围列阵攻击我，我也不害怕。
