我若詐偽妄為、害了他的性命，你自己也會站在一邊、跟我作對呀；因為無論何事、都瞞不過王。』

就算我冒著生命危險做了欺瞞的事，到時候你也會與我保持距離——要知道，任何事情都隱瞞不了王。」

如我妄害其命、無事隱於王、而爾亦必敵我、

如我害之、必陷己生命、於王前無所隱、而爾亦將加罪於我。

我豈可妄為而陷己命耶、無事可隱於王前、至王知之時、爾必旁立不語、原文作爾必對立

And if I had put my life in jeopardy— and nothing is hidden from the king— you would have kept your distance from me.”

Suppose I had put my life in danger by killing him. The king would have found out about it. Nothing is hidden from him. And you wouldn’t have stood up for me.”

On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life( and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”

And if I had betrayed the king by killing his son— and the king would certainly find out who did it— you yourself would be the first to abandon me.”

If I had jeopardized my own life— and nothing is hidden from the king— you would have abandoned me.”

Otherwise, if I had dealt treacherously against his life( and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have avoided me.”

Otherwise I would have dealt falsely against my own life. For there is nothing hidden from the king, and you yourself would have set yourself against me.”

王說：「這一切莫非是約押的手指使你的嗎？」婦人回答說：「我敢在我主我王面前起誓：我主我王所說的一切不偏左右，這是王的僕人約押吩咐我的，這一切話是他放在婢女口中的。王的僕人約押做這事，為要扭轉局面。我主的智慧卻如神使者的智慧，能知地上一切的事。」

大衛叫了一個僕人來，說：「來，殺了他！」僕人擊殺他，他就死了。大衛對他說：「你的血歸到你自己頭上，因為你親口作證控訴自己，說：『我殺了耶和華的受膏者。』」

從前有人告訴我說：『看哪，掃羅死了。』他自以為報好消息，我就拿住他，把他殺在洗革拉，作為他報消息的賞賜。更何況惡人把義人殺在他家的床上，我豈不從你們手中追討他的血，從地上除滅你們嗎？」於是大衛吩咐僕人把他們殺了，砍斷他們的手腳，掛在希伯崙的池旁。然後，他們把伊施‧波設的首級葬在希伯崙押尼珥的墳墓裏。

被造的，沒有一樣在他面前不是顯露的；萬物在他眼前都是赤露敞開的，我們必須向他交賬。
