今在坎阱、或於他所。如爾從者數人初敗、眾聞其聲、必曰從押沙龍者見戮。

今藏於窟穴、或於他處、如有數人初被殺、恐聞之者曰、從押沙龍之民見敗、

Even now, he is hidden in a cave or some other place. If he should attack your troops first, whoever hears about it will say,‘ There has been a slaughter among the troops who follow Absalom.’

In fact, he’s probably hiding in a cave or some other place right now. Suppose he attacks your troops first. When people hear about it, they’ll say,‘ Many of the troops who followed Absalom have been killed.’

Behold, even now he has hidden himself in one of the pits or in some other place. And as soon as some of the people fall at the first attack, whoever hears it will say,‘ There has been a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.’

He has probably already hidden in some pit or cave. And when he comes out and attacks and a few of your men fall, there will be panic among your troops, and the word will spread that Absalom’s men are being slaughtered.

He’s probably already hiding in one of the caves or some other place. If some of our troops fall first, someone is sure to hear and say,‘ There’s been a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.’

Surely by now he is hidden in some pit, or in some other place. And it will be, when some of them are overthrown at the first, that whoever hears it will say,‘ There is a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.’

Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them are fallen at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.

Behold, he is now hidden in some pit, or in some other place. It will happen, when some of them have fallen at the first, that whoever hears it will say,‘ There is a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom!’

他们必出来追赶我们，直到我们引诱他们离开城；因为他们必说：‘这些人像初次在我们面前逃跑。’所以我们要在他们面前逃跑，

约拿单和拿兵器的人起头所杀的约有二十人，都在一亩地的半犁沟之内。于是在营中、在田野、在众民内都有战兢，防兵和掠兵也都战兢，地也震动，战兢之势甚大。

便雅悯人说：“他们仍旧败在我们面前。”但以色列人说：“我们不如逃跑，引诱他们离开城到路上来。”以色列众人都起来，在巴力他玛摆阵，以色列的伏兵从马利迦巴埋伏的地方冲上前去。

艾城的人击杀了他们三十六人，从城门前追赶他们，直到示巴琳，在下坡杀败他们；众民的心就消化如水。

大卫就离开那里，逃到亚杜兰洞。他的弟兄和他父亲的全家听见了，就都下到他那里。

到了路旁的羊圈，在那里有洞，扫罗进去大解。大卫和跟随他的人正藏在洞里的深处。
