當慷慨施捨，因為日後必有收穫。當把你的資財分給多人，因為你不知道日後會有什麼災難臨到世上。

還有希律的管家苦撒的妻子約亞娜，此外還有蘇珊娜等其他婦女。她們用自己的錢財資助耶穌和門徒。

基甸率領他的三百人渡過約旦河，雖然疲憊不堪，仍緊追敵人。基甸對疏割的人說：「我們在追趕西巴和撒慕拿兩個米甸王，十分疲憊，請給我的軍隊一些餅吃。」疏割的首領卻說：「你還沒有抓到西巴和撒慕拿，我們憑什麼給你的軍隊餅吃？」

你們要親身體驗，就知道耶和華的美善；投靠祂的人有福了！耶和華的聖民啊，你們要敬畏祂，因為敬畏祂的人一無所缺。壯獅也會忍饑挨餓，但尋求耶和華的人什麼福分都不缺。

信徒有缺乏，要慷慨幫助；客人來訪，要熱誠款待。

提瑪的居民啊，要送水給這些口渴的人，拿食物給這些逃難的人。

再帶十塊奶餅送給他們的千夫長，看望一下他們，帶個信兒回來。

因為耶和華上帝是太陽，是盾牌；祂賜下恩惠和尊榮，不留下任何好處不賜給行為正直的人。

腓立比人啊！你們也知道，在我離開馬其頓傳福音的初期，除了你們以外，沒有別的教會供應我的需要。即使我在帖撒羅尼迦的時候，你們也不止一次供應過我的需要。我不求得到你們的饋贈，只希望你們所做的會帶給你們更大的賞賜。我現在樣樣都有，豐富有餘。我從以巴弗提手上收到了你們送給我的禮物，已經充足了。這些饋贈是蒙上帝悅納的馨香祭物。我的上帝必按照祂在基督耶穌裡的榮耀，豐豐富富地賜給你們所需用的一切。

把你們的食物分給饑餓的人，接待無家可歸的窮人，送衣服給赤身露體的人，不躲避求助的親人。
